Two green glazed Shekwan / Shiwan jars, probably late 19th century. Both with molded decoration of flower sprigs and a ruyi border. Jars like these were placed on either side of a grave as offerings, one containing rice and the other water. Height "3 ½ / 9 cm, diameter "4 and 4 ½ / 10 and 11 cm respectively. Condition: fine. A pair of nicely formed hollow glazed pottery birds. Both have round plump figures and lots of character. The darker bird has two glazes - a brown splash of glaze that runs over a straw glaze. The lighter bird has a celadon colored glaze. The glaze on both birds have a very fine crackle.

A very large museum quality blue cobalt Jar. It is very, very rare to find this type of vase in cobalt blue, especially in this size and condition. The center of the vase has a relief of a dragon chasing the elusive flaming pearl. Size: H. 92.8cm. W. 46cm. Condition: Very good with no repairs or missing parts. One side has some calcification from being buried for a long time. It show up more in the photo than it actually is.

A nice rare scalloped Liao plate, boldly incised with blossoms and leaves, under a cream and bright leaf green and amber glaze. Comes with a certificate from the Chinese Government Auction House. Size: Diameter. 13.5cm. Condition: A broken piece at the rim that was glued back on probably at the site. It is almost invisible on the front of the plate. See photos.

Two rare turquoise glazed foo lion candle holders of the Ming dynasty, these are not the typical joss stick holders, for reference of this type, please refer to the book " Song dynasty ceramics" by Rose Kerr. Shown on page 57 fig. 53, is a candlestick in the form of a lion, though dated 12th-13th century, the spouted form atop the backside of the lion renders it a candlestick. In good condition with minor chips and grazing of the glaze, all commiserate with age. They measure 6 inches high...
