A Chinese, straw glazed, ewer with splashed decoration to one side; Tang dynasty. Though a number of kilns produced similar ewers during the Tang dynasty, the conical spout and discreet pattern of chevrons, beneath the glaze, would point to it being a product of the Shouzhou kilns in Anhui province.

Condition; In generally good condition, with age related wear. Notably, there is wear and abradation to the rim, and an associated hairline crack to the neck...
A well balance potted Qingbai vase. Of unusual shape, pear-shaped body, with a gently flaring neck flanked by small moulded handles, supported on a tall foot, with a moulded flattened section emanating from the middle of the foot, the body applied on one side with a raised decoration of a flower spray, covered overall in a greenish white glaze. Song dynasty 12th-13th century in perfect condition. Height: 14.6cm.

Well modeled figure of Bodhidharma in stoneware with a whitish celadon glazed body. Depicted as an itinerant monk with hat and walking staff, with large earrings and beaded necklace and flowing robe. Unglazed base with brownish-grey color to clay body. Very good condition.

Tall Chinese Song dynasty brown glazed tapering form horizontal ribbed vase. The glaze was poured into the interior while the top shoulder of the jar was left unglazed. 14” high. Circa 13th century. The unglazed base has significant grit adhering from the kiln which causes the vase to be slightly slanted and a bit unstable. There are small chips along the rolled mouth. The form of this vase would eventually develop into the better known meiping vase...
Stoneware food jar covered with a brown glaze, probably ash-glaze. There are adhesions which I think are firing defects because they are very hard and not marine concretions due to long immersion which could scratch easily. The clay is beige in color...

Glazed with a clear glaze of slight greenish tone over a buff porcelanous stoneware body. It rests on a medium-tall footring with a base that is carved in the Song manner to a subtle point at its center. The interior has a carved rib design that is partially obscured by the glaze. An unglazed ring, exposing the greyish buff paste encircles the interior of the base. The bowl is in very good condition with no restorations, chips or cracks...
This is a greenish glazed bowl dated to the Northern Song Dynasty. It stands on a short foot rim with a recess base. On the cavetto, it is divided into five sections of incised abstract cloud like drawings.
The bowl is in very good conditions with the glaze intact. There is a manufacturing fault that looks like chip. This is shown in picture 1 at 12 o'clock and picture 4. It has an overglaze on it...
