Very rare Ly-Tran dynasty ( 12th - 13th century ) bowl with transparent light green glaze and repeat combed design. The far very best and most beautiful example of this kind seen so far. Diameter : 16,6 cm. H : 7,8 cm. Condition : 2 chips ( one of them very small ) and a short V shape hairline to the rim ( to be seen om the image )

A small, well patinated, Yixing stoneware teapot made in China circa 1700 to 1730 during either the Kangxi or Yongzheng reigns. There are no makers or owners seal marks. Condition - excellent. One minute base chip - no cracks and no resoration...

Southern Song period ( 1127 - 1279 ) Zhejiang province. Extremaly rare small cup with a superb quality opaque glaze. The exposed clay to the base turned reddish during the fiering prozess. Unfortunately the enclosed images are not able to show how amazing this piece is. Diameter : 4,6 cm. H : 2,7 cm. Condition : Amazing glaze, no chip but there is a unbelievable slight short hairline which is only to see with a 10 X lens.

White glazed stoneware bowl with a nice molded floral decoration to the interior. Fifteenth century or earlier. Diameter : 12,1 cm. H : 5,7 cm. Condition : Slight glaze degradation but perfect with no chip or crack.

Yaozhou ware, Norhern Song period ( 960 - 1127 ) or still earlier. A quite similar resp. related piece is to see on a reputable Chinese website. H : 7,5 cm. Diameter max.: 6,8 cm. Condition : There is a lost to the rim of the under part which is normally covered by the cover. If you look closer at the surface of this area you can see, that this lost must happened before the burning process...

Five Dynasties (907 - 960 AD ) Zhejiang ( Yue - ware ). The interesting shape of this pot was the early model for the very expensive Qing Kangxi period porcelain Water-pots. H : 6,8 cm. Diameter : 9,8 cm. Condition : Perfect

Northern Song ( 11th - 12th century ) The lustrous and glossy black glaze on the fine white body of this extremely rare piece are characteristic of the finest " Ding " vessels developed in the Dingzhou kilns at Quyang, Ding county, Hebei province in the Northern Song period. H : 4,2 cm. Condition : When examined with a 10X lense there is to see a very fine hairline to the body which is nearly invisible with the free eye, further in a perfect condiion.

Geyao cup in a very nice Song Dynasty inspired shape. Seventeenth century. The brown clay to the base seems to be the original grey stoneware which turned to a dark brown during the firing process. It seems not just to be a brown slip which covers the unglazed body to the base which would be typical for Qing pieces their intention it is to pretend a Song Dynasty piece. Diameter : 5 cm. H : 3,6 cm. Condition : One restored chip.

A stoneware bottle with an very decorative Guan-like glaze. Although the shape of this rare piece is clearly a Song Dynasty shape reference images from a reputable Chinese porcelain site point to a dating to the Ming Chenghua period. Since there is a copyright to this reference images I cannot show them here. H : 10,8 cm. Condition : Chipped to the rim as you can see this on the images, further in perfect condition ( body not cracked ).

A very well potted Ge ware ( Geyao ) 17teenth century dish. Gray stoneware covered with a very nice yellowish crackled glaze. The base of the dish covered with a brown slip. Diameter : 13,8 cm. Condition : there is a chip to the rim of the dish.

Extremely rare Linru Kiln tea bowl with an amazing Guan type crackled Celadon glaze. Northern Song Dynasty ( 960 - 1127 ). D : 10,8 cm. H : 4,7 cm. Condition: The golden repair you see on the images, further in excellent condition. ( The gold - tone which covers the repair is easy to remove without hurting the repair itself.)

This is a tall Song dynasty (960 – 1276 A.D) yingqing or qingpai meiping or plum vase. It stands on a recess base, rising from a small base to a baluster shape body with a short shoulder towards a mouth rim with a ring in between. The shoulder is circled with incised double ring. The body is divided into six symmetrical portions by two parallel incised lines starting from the outer ring of the shoulder towards all the way to the footrim...

This is a southern Song dynasty (1131 - 1276 A.D) yingqing or qingpai covered bowl in a sea green glazed. It stands on a short recessed glazed footrim and then everted into a straight U-shaped bowl with unglazed rim. The inside of the bowl is also glazed with yingqing sea green colour. On the body of the bowl, it is incised with lotus petal shaped overlapping one another. The cover of the bowl is also incised with overlapping lotus petals with a rounded finial on the top...

This is a classical form Song dynasty small longquan or celadon dish with moulded appliqué twin fish in the centre and an everted flatten rim. The dish is glazed with an uneven sea green or aquamarine glaze with crazing instead of the standard green colour.

There is no repair or restoration. Minor abrasion on the base and a small stone pits covered with the glaze near the cavetto which does not affect the aesthetic of the dish (picture 2 at 12 o’clock)...

A rare persimmon glazed Dingyao type covered bowl. It stands on a short unglazed footring, showing the white fine-grained body and everted to a straight persimmon glazed body...

This is a large bowl with deep sides rising from a short flared foot gradually for the first two-thirds, then steeply to a lightly indented vertical lip. The interior of the bowl is covered with glossy iron-rich black glaze with five lustrous russet-silvery glaze streaks, like a star, radiating from the base with the black glazed background. The exterior mostly black glaze underneath, the unglazed foot showing the buff body with the foot rim burnt to a very light mushroom colour.

This is Song Dynasty (960 – 1276) yingqing jar with cover. The motif on top of the cover is moulded. On the body, just below the neck, on the shoulder, it is incised with what looks like S-shaped sunray, on the centre part of the body, it is incised with lotus flowers and foliage and at the lower part towards the base, it is incised with upright leaf lappets.

Some minor abrasions. There are no chip, crack, restoration or repair. It is in good condition.

This is small Song Dynasty (960 – 1279) cizhou jar. It is decorated at the top with key fred design and below with lotus leave all round. In between the key fred and lotus leave design, is painting of some kind of plants in two cartouches. In between the cartouches is painting that looks like sea-waves..

There is no chip, crack, repair or restoration. In good condition.

Excavated in Kalimantan, Borneo. The piece is small, like most of the Song Geyao items, the shape is like Song, the glaze is like Song, but the clay ( porcelaneous ) looks different, and so unfortunately I have to be confident, that it must be a 18th century piece. What is confusing, is, that the piece was excavated together with some broken, ordinary Song pieces, and that there have not been found any other Qing material at this lokation. This piece shows a well known motiv of a Han dynasty story-teller with a drum. The piece is old ( excavated ), but I am confident, that it is not from the Han Dynasty, because I never have seen a glaze like this among Han items. It could be anything - the clay ( stoneware ) is a littlebit like Song, but it also could be a Qing dynasty piece with a Han motive.
