Very unusual Ca. 1930 iron lantern in the shape of a Shinto Shrine Drum with the 'mitsu tomoe' (three commas) which symbolized Raijin the god of thunder and lightning. A beautifully crafted cast, carved, and parcel gilt bronze image of a samurai pulling back, arrow nocked, ready to let fly, signed in a metal cartouche on back Shunko-saku (made by Shunko). It is roughly 27.5 cm (11 inches) to the top of his hat, 25 cm (10 inches) from forefinger to elbow. The warrior is calm, determined, with a look of deep concentration in his inlaid eyes...

Antique Japanese heavy iron boat anchor with four pointed prongs. Would make a great decorative piece for the home. Size: 32" height, 19.75" width

Incredible Japanese highly bronze figure of three playful puppies. One falling onto his back, another laying in the middle and the last one climbing over him. They are all very finely detailed. The artist's signature on the bottom of the middle puppy. Very well done with exquisite detail.

A fine silver kiseru (kizeru) pipe with natural bamboo body, the ends finely engraved with a dragon and tiger in the bamboo grove. The color of the central bamboo section is dark (almost black) with purple tint. The eye (eyes) is inlaid with gold (very small though). Circa 1900. 7 1/4” (18.8cm)

This cast metal figure of a farm girl is an early 20th century (late Meiji) product. It depicts a bare footed farm girl carrying a large basket on her shoulder. It is 11 ¼” high and 4 1/8” in diameter at the base. The tip of the small stick she holds in her left hand is broken off. Aside from this, it is in very good condition.

A dark blue hemp fabric forms the base of these kote sleeve guards. The upper area is covered in iron chain mail with pair of double gourd plates, crest mon, gilt iron plates, throughout the kote. The shoulder edge has three hinge plates to fashion to the Do armor. Unusually mounted on a custom black iron stand.

Unusual 1900s - 1910s (late Meiji - early Taisho) small Japanese wooden visiting card tray with inlaid multimetal decoration of a Dutchman standing by a pole, one hand raised to his head, the other holding a wide brimmed hat. Wood appears to be kurogaki (black persimmon), wonderful crisp metalwork with different patinas and gilding, beautiful dense hardwood, great patina, in perfect condition. Size 5 5/16 x 4 3/4 inches.

Late 19th century to 1920s good size Japanese sterling silver and copper cigarette case with inlaid and carved landscape of snow covered Mount Fuji rising above clouds, and a wide bay with rocks, pines, huts and sailing boat boats, with design continuing on the back of the case.
