18th Century Qianlong period 1736-1795 Chinese Famille Rose porcelain Spoon Rest or spoon tray, 5/8" high, 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" wide, with overglaze enamel design of flowering branches in the center with four(4) separate cartouches in the center, white on white decoration techniques were used between the four(4) cartouches in small areas. The bottom is unglazed. There is a tiny frit smaller than 1/16" wide on the rim, no other damages or restoration.

Chinese 18th Century Export Qianlong period porcelain Peacock design Spoon Rest or spoon tray, later part of 1790, circa 5/8" high, 4 7/8" wide 3 1/4" deep, overglaze Peacock design in the center, iron red line border on the scalloped hexagonal shape rim. The bottom is unglazed. Few kiln imperfections on the rim but no damages or restorations.

The vases portray characteristics seen in Yokohama Satsuma wares which were produced during the latter part of the Meiji Period. Japanese small and exquisite Satsuma ware censer, unusual double gourd shape with two handles and three feet, lid with delightful fu-dog finial, one side is decorated with two scenes from 100 Rakans (Buddhist saints), the other side is decorated with two scenes of beautiful ladies, everything else is covered with tiny designs in gold, beautiful condition, Taisho Period, 6 character kanji says: Satsuma yaki, Suigetsu ga. (trans: Satsuma Ware painted by Suigetsu). Size: 5" high

A pair of Chinese blue and white under glazed porcelain covered bowls, the tops with spotted deer, stork, pine tree and magic fungus decoration and a floral band. The bases with leaf and flower decoration. Both bases marked with four blue underglaze characters, one reading "Bao Zhu Li Ji" and the other "Re Shen Zhen Cang". Both measure 4" H x 10 dia. In the Karatsu style, but probably Kyoto ware. The buff-colored stoneware body is decorated with a stylized plum tree design in underglaze iron oxide with white slip clay for the blossoms. It is covered overall in a clear glaze that thickens a bit along one side of the inner wall, making a curtain effect. Opposite sides of the dish have been knife-cut for aesthetic appeal. A simple bronze with mixed metal applied to the surface utilizing the method known as zogan where gold and silver is used to apply the decoration and is fired on the surface. The motif is a plum branch with a bird known as an onagadori which is similar to a rooster, but is a distinct bird found in Japan. Piece is signed by Mitsufune. In the style of Ogata Korin, this tall-sided tray is lacquered black over a wood core. The decoration is rendered in raised lacquer in the Rinpa School manner after Korin. It displays a gnarled stump of a plum tree sending out shoots with blossoms and buds raised in gold lacquer, as well a inlaid flowers and buds in iridescent abalone mother of pearl...

This Japanese walrus tusk carving of a young maiden is a late-19th century or early 20th century product. It is 7 ¼” high (8 7/8” high with wood base) and 2 ¾” wide. It depicts a young maiden holding a long necked vase in one hand and a long stemmed flower in her other hand. There is a tall stand beside her with an incense burner. The statue is permanently mounted on the carved wood base. It is in great condition.

This nicely executed silver alloy tea pot is a late-19th century product. It is 8” high (9 ½” high with handle extended) and 9” wide at the spout. The body is 6 ¼” wide. The famous 8 immortals and their symbols appear over the entire hexagonal body and cover. The spout is the shape of a mythical animal, PiXie. The knob on the cover of the teapot is a seated PiXie. There is an honorable mark “Great Qing Qian Long” stamped on the bottom. It is in great condition.

This very well carved and designed carved bamboo root brush washer is an early-20th century product. It is 1 7/8” high and 5 7/8” wide (measured from the widest part). It depicts old pine trees with a crane resting on one of the limbs. According to Chinese tradition, pine trees and cranes represent longevity. It is in great condition.

Chinese Export Canton pattern Blue and White Porcelain Leaf shape Sauce/Gravy Boat, Ca. 1840's 1 1/2" high, 7 1/4" long with handle, 3 3/4" wide-maximum measurement. Underglaze blue design of typical Canton pattern, Chinese Pavilions on the river bank, a man with umbrella is walking on the bridge. There are several frits and chips on the rim area.

The subtle pair of Japanese bronze vases with the detailed work done of motifs of lotuses, herons, and carp fascinate the eyes. The gold metal are arranged to show the changes in color of the lotus leaves and to bring forth the beauty of the lotus blossoms. Work is signed by Miyabe Atsuyoshi who was active during the Meiji period and paved the way for contemporary Takaoka Bronze. Age: Meiji Period Size: Height: 5" Diameter: 2.75"

Chinese Export Fitzhugh pattern Blue and White Porcelain oval shape covered Vegetable serving Dish with original cover, Ca. 1790-1800, 4 1/2" high, up to the top of the Acorn shape knob, 11 3/4" x 8 5/8" wide. This is early Fitzhugh porcelain with very fine and delicately decorated Chrysanthemums and Peony sprigs in four(4) sections within diapers and spearheads border which is done with very exact and fine brush strokes in underglaze blue.
