A small Chinese porcelain bowl with the popular "nine peaches" decoration. The peach is the symbol for long life, timelessness, immortality and springtime. Also illustrated on the bowl is a fungus, plum blossoms, and bats, all of which are symbols wishing you a long life. The bat flying around is also a wish for happiness. The bowl measures about 2 1/4" high x 5" in diameter, and dates to the late Ching, early Republic Period...
19th century kokutan (ebony) netsuke of a standing shishi (Buddhist lion), its mouth open in a snarl, the back arch and tail raised. Perfectly captured essence of the beast, fantastic depiction of its fur with different curls on different parts of its body, great patina with characteristic ebony sheen. Signed in 2 reserves on its behind - the most probable reading is SOSHIN. Extraordinary rendition of a beast. Length 1.28 inches.
19th century Chinese export napkin ring carved on the outside with 3 reserves containing scenes of Chinese scholars in different settings. Wonderful work with deep undercutting, beautiful patina, in excellent condition. Inside diameter 1 5/16 inches, height 1 inch.
A Japanese hand forged iron tsuba. A tsuba is an important fitting on a samurai's sword to protect their hands from the blade and provide balance. This tsuba has cast motifs of a 5 petal flower and oblong hole. The tsuba is from the Myochin school (1573-1867).

19th century miniature Hirado porcelain sculpture of a reclining karako (Chinese boy) leaning on his right elbow. Excellent crisp modeling with incised details - see his superb dreamy face, well defined hands and clothing details. Beautiful glaze with numerous tiny bubbles giving it depth, unglazed bottom, in excellent condition (no chips, cracks or repairs), very pleasant to the touch. Typical Hirado underglaze blue and brown highlights. Length 2 3/16 inches.
A "Gu"-shaped bronze vase, late Yuan / early Ming, 14th. century. The upper section with leaf shaped panels. The lower sections with "Kui"-dragons, all on geometric grounds. Nice casting, very nice patina. H : 15,4 cm. GU : A GU is a form of Chinese ritual bronze vessel from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, used to drink wine or offer ritual libations. A GU is tall and slender with a flared base, a slim center section and a trumpet-shaped mouth that is wider than the base...
Cast iron teapot. Very deep decoration. Nice quality of cast iron. Unusual interesting decoration, meticulous details (fineness of the dragon ties of the handle). Signed in relief on the back and under the lid. Difficult to date. Meiji or Edo ? only the translation of the signature could tell us the artist and the period. The handle inlaid with plants in silver.

19th century small Indian bronze votive sculpture of monkey god Hanuman cast in South India. His hands are held in praying gesture in front of him, and his tail forms a halo behind his head. Hanuman personifies ingenuity and faithfulness - his strength and courage helped Rama to defeat demon Ravana. Wonderful casting and detailing, pleasant patina. Height 1 15/16 inches.
Antique Japanese zenibako, or money box, made of heavy Keyaki (elm) wood. The piece uses a funnel top lid for collecting temple offerings, secured with a very large iron front lock. Original condition. With mortis and tenon joinery.

A qingbai porcelain vase with moulded floral decoration. The piece is covered in a thin glaze of bluish tone. The white body is exposed on the unglazed base. China, Yuan dynasty, (1379 - 1368). Height: 19 cm. Condition: Perfect, no chips, cracks or hairlines and free from restorations.
A FINE ARITA KO-SOMETSUKE DISH, 18TH CENTURY.
The shallow dish with a slight foliate edge decorated with a central roundel of shochikubai, pine ; plum and bamboo, set against a ground of scrolling ivy. Within the foot-rim is found a four-character fuki-choshun mark.
