This is a 19th century Chinese blue and white porcelain temple jar in the Hawthorn pattern having a domed lid with foo dog finial and lion mask handles. Condition: very good condition; 1 small repaired chip near base. Measurement: 14" h.
Up for sale is a very large antique chinese red silk tapestry brocaded with polychrome peonies & vines, and gold thread shadows, Qianlong period. The panel is made up of 2 pieces from a yardage, each about 27" wide, and that explains why there is a seam in the middle; the panel backed with light yellow silk. A transitional Ming - Qing Chongzhen - Shunzhi blue and white big jar, rounded side with short neck and glazed base, out turned neck and oviod body, jar decorated with under glaze blue of Hibiscus or peony flower scroll motif.
Jar is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, there is faint glaze line near the base.

Late 19th century Japanese Bizen stoneware okimono modeled as meditating Daruma - the founder of Zen Buddhism - enveloped in his monk’s robe with a hood, his hands folded on his chest. Excellent modeling with wonderful facial expression of severe concentration, fine detailing. Typical Bizen color to the surface, eyes are highlighted with white enamel, beautiful patina, in great condition. Marked with a potter’s stamp on the bottom, appears to read EISHO.
