A beautiful opal carving of a fairy or apsara holding a longevity peach, with robes flowing amongst clouds. The piece could be easily used as a necklace pendant.

Fine Chinese Armorial Famille Rose Tankard decorated with the Coat of Arms of Slade (or Slader) impaling Foote, below a grisaille border. See Howard, "Chinese Armorial Porcelain" L1, where he states that this was probably a Cornish family. C1750. Height 12.6cm. Condition; minute frit to handle, two small shallow chips 0.3 and 0.4 cm to edge of flared foot. 0.6cm glaze crack to surface of handle.

This is an extremely fine Japanese Cloisonne vase with gold wire decorations.It measures just 3 1/2 inches tall so it is much finer and more exquisite in person. It is not signed. The fine workmanship on this piece was most likely done by Hayashi Kodenji as only an elite few could have ever created such a piece. The enamel colors and character of the bird also match Hayashi's work. Condition is excellent.

A good Arita sometsuke style dish probably from one of the favoured inner set of kilns at Arita, the so-called Uchiyama kilns. The dish is decorated with a border of stylised waves, painted in reverse style, with a single branch of a Camelia Tree in the centre. The underside of the dish decorated with a pair of sketchily painted Gourd vines. For an identical dish see no 216 of the Shibata Collection Part II at page 87...
Guangxu marks, 1875-1908
The exterior of each bowl is decorated with nine butterflies in flight in brilliant funcai enamels. The lower portion of the bowls just above the footring is encircled by a band of lappet panels, and below the rim of each is a Greek key band all in the same enamel palette. The interiors are undecorated, and glazed with the same even, white glaze as the exteriors. The bowls rest on a raised footring...
