Lovely 14th-15th Century Sawankhalok bottle with two ear handles at shoulder with refined incised horizontal line markings. Glaze has a nice olive green color with some omission during glazing. Rare complete lacquer tobacco box with trays from the Karen hilltribe ethnic group Northern Thailand. Next to nothing has written about this craft amongst the Karen people although they are known for their water tight baskets using lacquer to seal the weave. H: 9.5cm/3.8in and D: 8.6cm/3.3in.

Nice shiny gloss to glaze falls short of base. Note slight chipping of glaze on one side. Height is 5 inches.

The handsome head of the Buddha, Very finely carved with serene expression. With slightly smiling mouth, downcast eyes, large arched eyebrows in relief, straight nose and pierced elongated earlobes. His hair arranged in rows of small curls and surmounted by a domed usnisa. Height of the head on the mount is: 25 In (63cms) and 21 In (53cms) for the head alone without mount. DESCRIPTION: A beautifully mounted Chinese roof tile of a Ming warrior seated upon a horse. The bearded soldier, his right hand on his hip, sits erect upon his amber horse which stands on the curved tile base. This earthenware tile has been decorated in a sancai glaze of predominately green and amber colors. A beautifully carved custom rosewood base has been made for this large tile, the base itself probably being over 100 years old...
Japanese three string musical instrument Player, Meiji period, late 1800's, 2" high, 2 1/2" wide, ,1 1/2" deep, the ivory figure is finely done, add nice age patina on smooth rounded carving with humorous face and hairdo, small tip of the string instrument is broken off, age crack on the tip of the robe on the left back side about 1/2" long.

This jar is well-potted pinkish-orange earthenware that is covered in a deep green glaze that has degraded in places and developed iridescence from burial. The base is unglazed, as is the interior, revealing the place orange earthenware clay body. There are three spur marks on the rim from stacking in the firing. There are no cracks or restorations.
