Absolutely beautiful and exquisite Chinese antique chair, made from precious Huanghuali with gorgeous woodgrain, with a tan woven seat, and carving of a dragon in the front. Some damage on seat, minor scuff marks on handles. Measures approx: 40" tall, 27" wide 18th-19th century

Japanese 2 section kimono tansu. Made with Kiri (paulownia) wood, all natural finish. The upper section holds 8 drawers, which is considered an auspicious number. The bottom section contains 2 drawers with warabite pulls mounted on pierced metal plates. The piece also contains a secret hidden compartment beneath the bottom drawer.

A slightly larger than average pumpkin form Yixing teapot, with nice used patina, probably made in China during the 18th or 19th Century. This item does not carry a maker's mark. Condition - very good - there are light (production) firing cracks to the body (see enlargements 5 and 8) and there is a chip and some small firing cracks to the inside of the cover; no other damages and no restoration...

This antique copper reposse gau houses a picture instead of a clay tsa tsa which was common for a family gau. when the family could afford to do so, the picture would be replaced by a clay tsatsa. Curiously, this gau also houses 2 amulets, which were typically provided by a monk. The paper is very old and I am told it is bad Karma to unfold the amulet...
