This Japanese blue & white sometsuke has a beautiful design with a compressed globular box form. It has a very intricate design of geometric layers of expanding flowers in a leafy box expanding from a center crossed crest on the top lid to the bottom base...

A monochrome porcelain Vietnamese bowl from the 14th-16th Century. The clear ivory glaze has an incised design of a flower with 2 lines above it. The exterior of the bowl has a carved lotus pattern that extends to the bowl's small footing. During the 14th century, a second stacking method for firing was introduced using a ring-shape separator. It became the preferred stacking method by the 15th century. Vessels fired using this method have an unglaze ring on the inner base...

Japanese lacquer suzuribako or calligraphy writing box. The box is wood with lacquer, gold gilt sprinkled lacquer, and inlaid shell on the lid, adorned with scrolling leaves, floral medallions and motifs of sparrows. The box interior is red lacquer with gold lacquer patterns. The inside box contains an attached inkstone, a brush, and a small brass water dropper. Underneath is a shallow compartment for the storage of calligraphy papers...

Asian neolithic pottery, bulbous top with a top flange over a trumpet base, soft weathered red designs of swirling patterns on the upper areras and a spade design on lower area, shows patina marks and ware, a dramatic piece.

Lovely terracotta lamp of the Loeschcke VIII and with a fine depiction of Eros holding the arms of Mars, below on the base is an inscription as a mark of the workshop.

Size: 10,4cm.

Condition: Good Very Fine, completely intact with a little earthern deposits in the devices.

Provenance: Bärbel Kasper collection, Germany since 1950.

Antique Japanese Gyosho Bako, Edo Period, mid 19th century. It has two moving locks on the exterior. The interior has one large drawer and seven smaller drawers. It measures 13" wide 18" deep 31.5" tall.

19th Century Chinese Solid Silver Coral Carved Bracelet with Flower & Bird Marked "China Silver"

It is 6.6 inches (16.7 cm) in inner circumference by 1.6 inches (4 cm) wide. The coral plaques range from 25.2 mm to 26.5 mm long by 13.3 mm to 14.4 mm wide. It is 35.9 gram.

The silver is tarnished and has surface wears and scratches. The coral plaque have trace of glue at the back and inclusions (as seen in the photos)...

Ancient Egyptian faience cartouche plaque. One side is incised with an imitation of „Men-Kheper-Re“, the prenomen of the Pharaoh Tuthmosis III. The keeper sign is replaced with the Neith sign. The other side is incised with an animal of Seth, in front a lotus plant.

Inrô of three black lacquer compartments decorated with raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) of ducks on the water or in flight on both sides. One of the faces shows four ducks (one per box) in different postures among a decoration of stylized bamboo leaves. The upper one in flight, head to the right, the second facing left and about to land, wings spread apart, the third in a resting position, head on its wing, the fourth on the water, leaning its head forward...

Finely modeled shabti for the priest Ankh-Hap, who holds the title of a ‘Great Warrior’.
The inscription in one vertical column on the front begins with the sehedj-formula: The illuminated Osiris, the great warrior and revered master, Ankh-Hap.
The rather round face shows well-drawn eyes and eyebrows, a prominent nose and pursed lips...

19th century tall netsuke carved as a dancing fox standing on its hind legs with its front paws raised to one side and its tail erect. This particular model seems to represent the Inari fox - the benevolent and well disposed creature, being the messenger of the God of rice and harvest, as opposed to the other foxes, which are generally believed to be evil creatures...

The lid of the hill jar represent the five scared mountains which is the path between the earth and Paradise.The scared mountains is filled with animals that live there. An antique Japanese 2 section tall Isho Tansu (Kimono Chest) made from Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. Handmade iron fittings and sliding door handles that feature embossed Paulownia and Chrysanthemums. Side handles were used for transporting this chest.

The 2 sections allows this piece to be used as a stacked set or separated for use in different rooms of the home.
