A Chinese lady's belt made of 16 mother of pearl discs each mounted with alternate appliques of butterfly and auspicious Chinese characters. One of the two end gilt silver clasps which are decorated with enamel characters is stamped "90" followed by characters. The quality of the multicolor enamel work as seen in the butterflies, is superb. size: 70 cm long. age: C. 1900. condition: One butterfly is missing and one disc has part of the Chinese character missing.

It is 9.6 inches (24.4 cm) tall by 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide. It is 3.8 Lb.
It is tarnished and has been repaired at the bottom. It also has missing some flowers, oxidation, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

19th century netsuke of a Buddhist monk sawing off the horns of an oni (little mischievous demon) who is holding its hands in a praying attitude. The subject is Oni no Nembutsu - a demon who saw the light of Buddhist teachings and decided to become pious. Wonderful faces, great detailing, beautiful patina, very pleasant yellowing to the surface. Pair of small Ming dynasty Longquan celadon vases of compressed pear-form with flaring foliate form mouth decorated on opposing sides with low moulded relief leafy floral decoration. A pair of s-shaped handles are on each side of the neck. The celadon glaze with olive tint ends at the slightly flaring unglazed foot which has burnt orange from firing. The recessed base is glazed. 19th century Chinese scholar’s bronze seal, its top in a form of a sage riding on the back of a qilin. According to Chinese mythology qilin appears before the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler. The impression of the seal is shown on the first photo (image is flipped left to right to present the image as it will print on paper). Nicely cast and finished, beautiful patina, has good presence. Height 1.67 inches, base 1.27 x 1.16 inches.
A Canton enamel bowl, beautifully decorated with flowers and a rock in Famille rose colors under a border in gilt and puce. Blue orchid mark to the interior, puce orchid to the back. 18th century, late Qianlong. Height "2¾/ 7,2 cm. Condition: damages and stress lines (cf pics.), no repair.
