Two rare porcelain lids with moulded decoration and glazed with a pale blue-green Qingbai glaze. Yuan Dynasty, fourteenth century. These 2 lids, excavated in Indonesia, do have a Diameter of 6,8 cm. They perfectly would fit for 2 Qingbai glazed Yuan jarlets with a moulded deoration, and with a mouth rim diameter between minimal 5,2 cm. and maximal 6,2 cm. The perfect match ("marriage") would be with jarlets with a mouth rim diameter of 5,8 cm. Condition: Perfect.

This is an extremely rare jade picture-plaque that dates to the Late Classic Period around 700 AD. In my 40 years of collecting, I have never seen one for sale. These plaques all belong to one school of carving known as Nebaj-type plaques because the first specimens to be found in situ in the Mayan area come from Cache 14, Mound 2, at Nebaj, Guatemala. A set of five soba choko, straight sided cups, so called boars mouth cups, decorated with a pattern of a grape vine and a wasp (hachi, bee, wasp or hornet) an autumnal motif.
