Large Colima Redware, Sitting Male Figure, without a phallus. 16" x 9" x 6" Ca. 200 B.C. to 500 A.D. Significant mineral deposits overall. Repairs to the upper head and facial areas, and pelvic region. Lower body incised lines, that appear to be pants. A very nice example.

An incredible blackstone finial from a sceptre or macehead, Pre-columbian Moche Culture, ca. 4th.-7th. cent. AD.

An exceptional piece decorated with 4 figures in each corner of the trapezoid carving; they are holding on their belly with both hands and each is wearing a headdress. The space between the figures decorated with a pattern of oval depressions. The finial hollowed in the center for mounting it as a club or sceptre.

A rare Peruvian Stirrup Vessel, Chimú culture, ca. 1000-1300 AD.

The globular vessel with stirrup handle, the body decorated with two elongated, snake-like fish, fine little bird is seated at the handle.

A Mezcala stone figure from the pre-Classic period [1200 BC-200BC]. There are drilled holes at the base of the neck for wear as a pendant. 6.5" high.

This Olmec maskette is 1 7/8" long, 1 5/8" wide and 1" thick. It has been in a fire, possibly sacrificial in nature, with mild damage to one back edge which lends to its authenticity. It is made from Fuchsite which was used by the Olmecs. Fushsite is a form of mica which can readily be seen in the pictures. This piece was almost certainly used in magical shamanistic ceremonies. I just couldn't get a decent picture of how this piece reflects light...

A Tlatilico "Pretty Lady" from the pre-Classic period [1200 BC-300 AD]. Stress breaks arms and legs professionally restored. Rare large size. 7.5" high.

Antique, circa 1900 AD, Native American Indians, Eastern Woodlands region, circular trivet made of sweetgrass and birch bark. The top is adorned with a floral pattern made of porcupine quills.

The reverse is inscribed with several names written in pencil and dated "June 25, 1913". Use it as a trivet or hang it as art.

Vera Cruz Warrior. Mexico. Circa. 600-900 A.D. 15 ¼” Hollow molded terra cotta, standing warrior with one hand raised showing an open palm. The other wields a large, trapezoidal shield and he wears a sleeveless vest, belt and a long loin cloth. With prominent teeth, sleepy eyes and a well formed nose. Restored from a dozen or so large pieces with restoration over the break lines. Rear, third, support leg reattached with visible gluing and edge losses.

A rare Jimmie Kootz carving of Koshare Clown Kachina in puppet form circa 1940-1950. With articulated arms and legs and two independent strings, one attached to the top of each arm. Koshare's general description from Colton: "Face mask painted white with black eyes and mouth. Two soft black and white striped horns on top of head. Rag ruff. Breech clout. Bare feet. Body painted in black and white horizontal stripes...

A very rarely offered complete polychrome pottery figural vessel, Aztec / triple alliance Empire, c. 1200-1500 AD.

Interesting vessel that is both anthropomorphic and zoomorphic. A bulbous vessel with the figure having small limbs and with a small head with facial tattoos, probably a chieftain or Shaman. He is sort of holding on to the jar backwards with his diminutive hands. On the side of the vessel a protruding Feline or Dog head.

The hafting area is ground and it has basal thinning. It is made from a beautiful translucent chalcedony that is root beer colored. It was found in Mills County, Texas. I have owned it since 1998. This extremely rare and stunning museum quality Olmec standing figure is made from beautiful Olmec blue true jadeite. It measures a whopping 8 3/8" long and 2 1/2" at the shoulders. The head is just shy of 3". It dates from 1200-600BC. It is the definition of Olmec classic with the elongated head and were-jaquar mouth. It has incising along the chest, left leg and left cheek. The back is quite unusual and rare in that the head shows the figure in transformation into an avian form...

Circa 1470-1532 AD pre-Columbian Inca ritual offering vessel Conopa in the shape of an Alpaca. Hand carved of a black fine grained stone, then polished with sand and water, with a hole in its back called a "qocha" (lagoon)-the container for offerings during the ceremony "haywarisqa" (ceremony of offerings) in which Alpaca fat and blood mixed with coca leaves were presented to the gods.
