An antique Tibetan traveling trunk made of hand hewn Pine wood. Leather was stretched over the wood and hand painted in polychrome lacquer. There are arrow shaped hard mounts, butterfly appliqué mounts on the corners and Dorje accents. The central panel features an offering tray of Hoju (sacred jewels). Stylized Peonies decorate the trunk and the main colors used were analogous primary hues. The cover of the top features a green water dragon...

Antique Chinese pair of tall hardwood stands, carved to look like they are comprised of stalks of bamboo. The tops show their natural woodgrain beautifully through the dark finish. The underside panels and connecting unit between its legs are designed like reticulated bamboo.

Small scholar's chinese table in precious wood. The table is cut from a single plank of wood. The shape is simple and elegant. The wood is very hard, dark brown in color with red highlights, its grain is very fine, similar to mahogany or rosewood. When touched, the surface is slightly irregular, indicating the use of careful manual finishing with a scraper. Good condition. A pair of Quan Yi Huanghuali horseshoe back armchairs from the 18th Century. The generously proportioned curving top rail is made in five parts using half-lap pressure peg joints terminating in a curved look beyond the goose-neck side and front corner post. The back splat is carved with a Chimera medallion. The back corner posts continues through the frame of the soft mat seat to form the back legs and front legs enclosing the cusped apron carved in relief with curling tendrils...

Intricately hand carved Chinese plant stand with a scalloped edged marble inset. In excellent original antique condition with a beautiful warm patina, it measures 36 inches high, 21 inches outside center diameter, 13.5" across top. Circa 1860

Chinese late Qing to Republic period camphor wood trunk densely carved with relief lotus flowers. Incised brass circular front lock plate. Circa 1900 to early 20th century. 31" long x 14" wide x 13" high. Very good, solid overall condition. There is a small separation in the wood at one of the front edges and a minor loss at one back corner revealing the tip of a tiny old nail (see closeup images)...

There is a scrolling pattern on each side of the altar. There is a rectilinear pattern under the table top. It measures 35" wide 19" deep 32.5"' tall.
