A stylish and elegant large silver vessel or urn, made in China around 1920s at a time when western goods were highly in vogue. The shape is inspired by Greecian urns and the body surface is etched with detailed acanthus leaf scrolls...

Late Qing Dynasty (1880s to 1911) Chinese bronze incense burner in a shape of a standing mandarin duck with its head raised. Wings and tail are decorated in champleve technique with red, green, blue, turquoise and yellow enamels with designs referring to ancient Chinese bronzes. The wings of the creature form a removable cover that fits perfectly. Excellent quality casting - see the head with incised lines around its beak and eyes, and detailing of its webbed feet...

A thick-walled censer, shaped like an urn with “Heaven soaring” handles, standing on a three legged base. Both censer and base have been polished in the past but are now achieving a decent patina. The censer fits the base perfectly. The base has an interesting mark. 19th century.

Antique Chinese bronze treasure box, decorated on its sides with an overlay of bright, colorful cloisonne lilies. The lid is adorned with a carved oval jadeite piece, carved with leaves and flowers. When opened, the inside of the lid is also decorated with beautiful cloisonne, and the box's feet have delicate blue cloisonne overlay. Size: 2" height, 3.5" width

Small gilt bronze altar dedicated to Bodhisattva Padmapani, resting on four pillars, showing the Bodhisattva standing, backed by an aureola, holding a gourd in his left hand, his right hand in appeasing/blessing posture (abhaya mudra). Chinese Zhou / Warring States Bronze Ritual Wine Vessel with Cover (8/8/88)

This rare bronze vessel dates to the Eastern Zhou period (770 - 221 BC). Such vessels are invariably referred to as "ritual wine vessels". It is of a rounded rectangular form. The body stands on four feet, one in each corner and of a mythical winged-human form. The front has a loop handled surmounted with a stylised buffalo head, its mouth open wide...

A beautiful replica of the famous Bronze Running Horse or the Galloping Horse. The original horse was made durning the Han Dynasty. The sculpture is balanced on one hoof giving the illusion of flight. Size: Length 23cm -9 inches. Hight 19cm - 7.4 inches. Width 4cm - 1.5 inches. Weight 1.3 Kilos - 2.86 pounds.

Ca. 1700s

The stand and bowl of this vessel were cast separately and permanently joined at the time of production. The lid is topped with a lingzhi fungus. The entire piece is covered in an old brownish patina and small areas of verdigris. The lid fits very well into the grooved rim of the bowl. The lingzhi is cast as part of the lid, and has some areas of orange-ish patina. The interior of the stand is dark gray with some verdigris and the bowl interior is also a grayish tone...

A rare miniature figure of Avalokitesvara (Buddha) (God of Compassion) on a plinth. The head is surrounded by a halo. The figure was originally gilded and traces of the gold still remain. The features have been worn from age. Has a nice patina. Period: Han. 206BC - 220AD Size: Height = 7.5 cm

A group of three mat weights. The first one is of circular form, with two tiger heads. Dimensions: H 35 mm, D 50 mm. The second one is oval shaped, looking like a chimera with wings. Dimensions: H 32 mm L 52 mm. The third one is a bird holding a branch in its beak, with an oval base. Dimensions: 34 mm, L 44 mm. All are made of gilt bronze, with a fine patina. Gilding partly missing, otherwise very good condition. Provenance: French provincial auction sale in the early seventies...

Small figurine representing Kuan Yin, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, in formal attire and wearing elaborate diadem and necklaces, flanked by two worshippers, standing on an elevated throne in front of which a lion head is showing in relief. Bronze, with dark reddish-green patina. China, Northern Wei or Sui Dynasty. Height: 2 3/4" (7 cm). Abrasion due to great age, otherwise good condition. An extremely rare object.

Decorated with Taotie Masks and a very nice Zhou-Style Birds-decoration in low relief against a leiwen-ground with traces of Gilding. Qing Dynasty or earlier. More detailed conclusions concerning the date of the piece might express the mark resp. the signature to the base of the vase. H : 24,3 cm. Condition : Perfect.

A rare and delicate QING Dynasty Silver and Paktong Opium Pipe with beautifully detailed metalwork, which because of its size probably belonged to a Lady.
