This thinly potted bowl stands out by its nice decoration, in particular by the delighful represented deer which is part of this decoration. Wonderful deep Cobalt blue.

Condition : Perfect. There is a very very minute fritting to the rim which is quite normal for Jiajing pieces but there is no chip and no crack and there is a nice sound when tapped.

Yuan Dynasty 14th century Dehua ware covered box. Porcellanous stoneware with honey - coloured glaze over a extremely nice moulded floral decoration.
Diameter : 7,2 cm.
Condition : Some very faint age - cracks to the glaze but not in the body. One single minute chip at the underside of the box, which not interfers the extremely nice appearance of this rare piece.
Another highlight of our family collection: Rather large Chinese Kinuta Seiji Celadon Vase for Japanese Tea Ceremony. Classical mallet (kinuta) shaped celadon vase in the style of the longquan kilns of the 13th century. The celadon glaze is applied very thickly and the vase may have been glazed and fired more than one time. Some fine aesthetic hairlines complete its beautiful expression.
The execution of the foot rim and the texture of the clay matches the Chinese original...
