It depicts 8 Buddhist symbols of good fortune around the bottle. Those 8 Buddhist symbols are Lotus Flower, Dharma Wheel, Umbrella, Fish, Conch Shell, Victory Banner, Vase and Endless Knot. This snuff bottle is molded in the form of a wine pot which is secured in a woven basket. It is inscribed with the wine maker¡¯s name De Run Zheng and the name of the wine Zhuang Yuan Hong. The seal mark is Yong Zheng period but is considered as Tong Zhi or Guang Xu period (1862~1908). It is 3 inches tall and 1 ¾ inches at the widest part. Beside some small chips on the woven part, it is in good condition.

A rare 18th/19th Century carved agate snuff bottle with, possibly later, silver and rose quartz stopper. On the stopper is inscribed the Shanghai silversmiths "Wen Yuan" who are recorded as having traded from the Jiaqing (1796-1820) reign through until the Republic period (1912- 1949). Condition - excellent - there is a shallow chip on top, next to the mouth (please view enlargement 11) no further damages and no restoration. 5cm (2inches) high; 4.8cm (1.9 inches) wide.

This early 20th century Famille Rose snuff bottle features hand painted chrysanthemum, cherry, rose, peony and other unknown blossoms on a white background. It is 2 3/8” high, 2 1/8” wide and 1 1/8” thick. The cap and spoon are replacements. It is in very good condition.

This is a fine, well-hallowed, Aventurine Glass Snuff Bottle of robust circular rounded form, with a high rounded neck, a flat wide lip, and a raised oval flat foot. The slightly translucent stone is made up of thousands of clustered gold and bronze colored sand-like particles within a brown colored ground. It comes with a green jade stopper with spoon.

This excellent looking bottle is in remarkable preserved condition...
