19th century Chinese lacquer snuff bottle in flask form with inlaid lac burgaute reserves on each side depicting a flower sprig and brocade patterns surrounding the reserve. Lac Burgaute is a French term describing a lacquer technique with inlaid designs using small shapes of iridescent blue-green and purple abalone shell and gold and silver foil. Very well made, well hollowed, original matching stopper, in great condition. Height with stopper 2 9/16 inches.

A dated Chinese glass snuff bottle, overlaid with a decoration of flowers and insects.This documentary bottle bears the Bing Shen year corresponding to 1836 and its fine and detailed lapidary work makes it a highly desirable object. size: 2 1/4 inches high (6 cm). Age; 1836. condition : very good, a small section of the raised coloured ring at the base is missing. The blue glass cover is lacking its spoon.

Late Qing Dynasty (1900s) Chinese porcelain snuff saucer with underglaze blue painting of an open fan and enamel decoration of yellow bamboo rib and orange tassel. Very well made, wonderful painting, beautiful patina, some rubbing to the top, in great condition. Marked in underglaze blue on the bottom. Diameter 1 3/4 inches.

This is a rare example of a Puddingstone, not only because of its form, but also, because of the color, shape, and texture of the particles that make up the stone.

This is a late Qing period crystal snuff bottle. On the shoulder of the snuff bottle it is curved with the design of Ruyi and the body that of the petals of the lotus and at the base it is surrounded all round with the lappets of the lotus. A very nice and elegant as well as well curved crystal snuff bottle. Cir. late Qing 19th/20th century.

This is an Amygdaloidal Basalt, heavy, but well hollowed, of flattened globular shape with a short broad cylindrical neck, and an oval recessed foot. Engraved with lion masks to both shoulders. The background is dark gray, almost black, and the attractive mineral inclusions of various shapes are light brown, light blue, gray, green, light green and some shades of rosette. Some of the various shape forms have various colors inside...

Chinese antique agate snuff bottle, converted by a French artist into a striker (lighter) with the addition of a silver bottom and rim with details of irises, dragon flies and butterflies. The silver work has a distinct art nouveau style to it, the lid is made of orange agate, silver and coral.

Early 19th Century, Green Overlay Glass Snuff Bottle This is a very fine, flattened, circular form, with a round elongated neck that is encircled by a collar of acanthus leaves, over a raised oval footing, snuff bottle. It is covered with a rich green overlay glass on snowflake glass, decorated with a fine relief carving of a clump of Bamboo on one side, and a pair of Lotus flowers on the other. The sides are flanked by masks and faux-ring handles...

DESCRIPTION: A finely painted Chinese glass snuff bottle in flattened rectangular form, each side featuring a lohan (a Buddhist disciple) in landscape settings, one with a crouching dragon and the other with a playful foo lion. Above each lohan is a poem in fine calligraphy with red seal marks. Aventurine stopper, in excellent condition, early 20th C. DIMENSIONS: 3 ¼” high (8.3 cm).

Beautiful antique Chinese snuff bottle carved all of dark agate. The stone is so smokey and dark it appears almost black but has lovely clouds of deep orange on one side. On the reverse side of the bottle, classic agate striations can be seen ranging from almost black to very thin areas of almost clear translucency. The lid of the bottle is made of a brighter orange agate and has long since lost it's spoon. The bottle is carved into an ovoid form and is pleasingly smooth and balanced...
