Antique Chinese porcelain planter. Circular in form with foliate rim. The body of the planter is decorated with a colorful enamel scene of frolicking horses. A meadow landscape is beginning it's spring time blossoming of fruit trees and willows bear new leaves. Low mountains rise up in the distance and birds fly over a pond. Possibly painted by Lao Sholing who was famous for his depictions of horses...
It is a small container which is carved in a black stone which is not very hard. I think it is a soapstone. It was covered with a layer of solid red lacquer which has partially worn away with use and time. The central receptacle is flanked by 2 dragon heads which have their mouths open. The mouths are pierced with holes as for a teapot. It appears to be a 2-light oil lamp...

A cast bronze censer representing a mandarin duck. Beautiful cast and excellent neat finish. Missing the cover and a broken leg lost and replaced.
The bronze is covered with a beautiful old patina certifying the object 19th or before. Qing or Edo period.

In my opinion it's a chinese work, the look and the eyes seem to me the work of a Chinese artist and not a European one,clay too. I think it's from Qing period, probably Kangxi. It's too elegant to be Ming.
Statue of crowned Amithaba Buddha, in formal attire, sitting cross-legged on an elevated throne, his hands in dhyana mudra (meditative posture). Wood, with remnants of lacquering and gilding. China, early Qing Dynasty, 17th/18th century. Height: 34 cm. Chip on top of crown, abrasions, otherwise very good condition.
Cast bronze turtle shown standing on its 4 legs, part of its shell gilded with mercury. Well finish, very detailed carving. Beautiful old patina.

Circa 1870s hand carved and highly polished rock crystal and purple amethyst snuff bottle. Carved in good medium relief is a maiden carrying a poled basket with reverse having a flycatcher in the lower right corner amongst a landscape (but it is very hard to make out due to the sheen). In excellent condition, the bottle measures 2 7/8" high and 1 3/4" wide.
