Vest made of tiny bamboo beads and all hand-strung with cotton threads. It was worn till early 20th century (Quin Dynasty) as an underwear of silk garments, especially in the southern China or neighboring countries. It made a wearer keep cool and avoid the outer garment wetting by sweat. Generally in good condition but almost 30 beads are missing. 19th to early 20th century. 48cm x 52cm

Chinese ceramic arrow form vase, with thick green crackle celadon glaze and wide squared mouth. An arrow vase is a type of vessel used for the game Touhu in which players would throw arrows into the cylinders attached to the sides of the neck.

Chinese Qing dynasty Bronze censer with xuande mark. 19,5 cm wide, 15 cm mouth diameter. 1,2 Kg weight. Censer has single dent (Please see on the photos).

Chinese antique trunk. Rectangular form with beautifully woven dark and light color rattan. Iron and brass hardware with nice patina. The inside of the trunk is made of wood with black lacquer, old calligraphy paper, and patterned cotton on the underside of the lid. Ring hinges.

The censer is cast with twin upright handles and the body is decorated with three taotie panels divided by flanges. It is raised on three tall supports each decorated with a stylised mask and a flange. Late Ming Dynasty, 16th - 17th century. H : 25,9 cm. There is an old inventory Number to the base of the body. Ex Christie´s London.

Chinese small monochrome porcelain vase with a dark purple underglaze. The body of the vase is rounded with tapered foot, tall slender neck with small opening. The foot is bare of glaze.

Pair of Exquisite Chinese soapstone carvings of fu dogs, one male and one female with her baby. The pedestals on which the fu dogs stand show motif panels of horses in various form and pose.

Provenance: From a private estate, originally purchased at Morcom's House of Beautiful Things - Oakland, which closed in the 1920s.

Chinese porcelain figure of a seated Daoist monk. The monk's skin is left unglazed, his draping robes and seat with Sancai "three colors" of yellow, green, and dark purple underglazes. One of the figure's ears is pierced through for gas to escape during kiln firing.

A rare bronze (copper & tin alloy) incense burner in the form of a Qilin made in China during the late Ming period.

Condition: the cover is missing and there is a small hole in the base; there is copper oxidation inside the tail and there are traces of the original black lacquer coating between its scales and in some of the recesses.

Chinese round lacquer box made with a guri lacquer technique in which many layers of red and black lacquer are carved away into intricate designs. The interior in glossy black lacquer.

A Yuan Dynasty octagonal "belimbing shaped" jarlet which most likely represents the so far best existing piece of its kind. Please look in any private - or Museum collection and you will not find a better example. A jarlet of octagonal ( belimbing ) shape, decorated with splashed iron brown spots and a Qingbai ( Yingqing ) glaze over a porcelain body. The flat base unglazed. Yuan Dynasty 1279 - 1368. Diameter: 5,7 cm. H: 6,3 cm. Condition : Perfect.

A very well and thinly potted porcelain bowl with a polychrome decoration ( Famille-rose ) of the "Eighteen Luohans" . To the base a red six-character Mark. Qing Dynasty, Guangxu period ( 1875 - 1908 ) Diameter : 15,8 cm. Condition : There is a very flat chip to the inside of the footrim. Further in an absolutely perfect condition.

Chinese rectangular ink box made of white brass and copper. The lid is decorated with calligraphy inscription and chop. The interior of the box with dark patina and ink stone. The copper based is signed with maker's mark.

A bronze vase of compressed bottle form in archaistic style with elongated handles. Bands and panels of Taoitie motifs and lozenge diaper liewen brocade. See Bonhams 2016 lot 470 Asian Art Knightsbridge London for a near identical vase there attributed to the Ming dynasty. The vase is 21.8cm high, the base 9.8cm wide. A Chinese silver tankard, applied onlaid with a continuous decoration of a phoenix, birds of paradise and storks amongst flowering trees, chrysanthemums and prunus. It has a hammered background, a vacant shield and double-walled interior. The decoration is in high relief, creating a three dimensional sculptural surface and amazingly in an excellent condition. A rare and complete group of an ox and carriage in grey pottery with remains of polychrome. China, Tang Dynasty (618-907). The result of the thermoluminescence test by Kotalla is consistent with the dating of this lot. The report is included in the sale. Dimensions: the carriage H. 32 cm, L. 23 cm, the ox H. 18 cm, L. 23 cm. Condition: very good, no visible repairs, although repairs on early pottery are quite common and accepted. Chinese peking glass brush pot or bitong, of a round cylindrical form and foot slightly recessed. The rich amber peking glass contains gold flakes within it.
