This is a beautiful fukusa from the Meiji era.
This is a high quality silk fukusa designed by Fukurokuju (one of the Seven Gods of Fortune). Fukurokuju is said to govern happiness, status, wealth (being blessed with money), and longevity.
This is a fukusa that can be easily displayed on the wall. Also recommended for antique collections. There are some slight stains. However, it is not noticeable. There is no major damage and it is in very good condition...

Japanese Shino ware ceramic chawan or tea ceremony bowl. Shino ware is easily identified by thick white glazes, red scorch marks, and a texture of small holes. One side of the bowl has dark brown underglaze design of flowers while the opposite side has flecks and lines, along the dramatic ribbed edges of the body. The foot of the bowl is formed flattened and is left bare without any glaze.

An antique Japanese Sado Island Kasane Tansu made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware (including Warabite handles) and wiped Urushi lacquer finish. The metalsmith showcased his talent adding Chrysanthemum corners to each drawer front and Mum backplates to each handle. Suzuki Shonen (1848-1918) was a Japanese painter from the Meiji(1868-1912) to Taisho periods(1912-1926). Born as Suzuki Hyakunen's eldest son, he learned painting from his father from an early age. Shonen became a teacher at the Kyoto Prefectural Painting School in 1898. He was good at portrait painting and received awards at national industrial exhibitions, etc.
Some light marks and foxing are present on the paint...
