A single door is hinged horizontally and opens downward to reveal a large compartment for storage. Though these trunks were used for storage of household items, bedding was usually folded and placed on top, thus giving them the name blanket storage trunk.

Rare Korean stoneware vase from the Silla period, 5th or 6th century. Undulating decoration incised with a comb and pierced with typical triangles. The upper part is covered with an ash glass. A similar but smaller and unglazed model is housed at the Minneapolis Institute.
Good condition. Height: 34cm
The Goryeo celadon at initial time is famous for its beauty like jade. This vase was made in the middle of Goryeo era and the color has become to a little bit dark. On the contrary, it has been loved by the masters of tea ceremony i Japan who pursues "wabi sabi".

Paulownia is very desirable for collectors because of its beautiful wide grain, light weight, and fire and bug-resistant qualities.
