Traditional scroll painting of what I am assuming is the Chinese ideal of a courtesan putting her make up on in morning. This was painted in the year of the Fire Rat- 1936 or 1996. I would tend put this at the earlier date because the paper shows some age and this has been newly remounted, as well as the style is evoking feeling of a French boudoir. A large brooch of Chinese export silver made in filigree technique and embellished with enamelings and a good carved jadeite Feicui piece in the shape of a hibiscus flower. Stamped on the back side. Size: Diam 5,4 x 4 cm. Late Qing, around 1900/1910. Condition: good.

Very charming three figure ensemble of a king with two female attendants. One attendant holds a fan that moves. The male figure's head nods. They wear white and pink clothes with gold details. Measures 8" wide at base.

Chinese Green Pottery Ming style garden Column with low relief design of Architectural remnant, from old homes in China, Ca. 19th century, 27 1/2" high, 7 1/2" diameter, with raised low relief design of galloping Horse, big horn Deer, Hawk and long hair Monkey on the tree branches in the deep forest and inside is hollow. The Chinese export wax seal is still intact, and one(1) stained crack about 6" long at just above brown wax seal, and shows brown stain but very tight together.

Antique Chinese large porcelain architectural tile with old glue residue along its edges. Depicted are nine gold imperial dragons and fireballs over a background of enamel rolling sea waves, bordered top and bottom with gold scroll designs on red. 18th/19th century. An interesting, rare and unusual, Buddhist Dehua image of a meditating Luohan in a cave overgrown with branches, his hands holding a begging bowl. This is a well-known motif of the Ming dynasty. Done with very fine details demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship. Hollow modeled. Signed with seal on the back: He Chaozong. Late Qing to early Republican Period, ca. 1900–1930. H 16 cm. Condition: Excellent. Most probably a unique piece and extremely charming!

Fine Qing Dynasty small carved wood panel depicting a scholar and boy in garden with flower buds and pine trees. Carved on both sides excellent condition with gold, red and black lacquer. L:30.3xm 12in and H: 12.5cm/5.5in.

A Remarkable Indian or East Asian offering Bowl on Stand, late 19th or early 20th century.

The bowl is cast and then finished by fine chisel work and engraving, all against an intricate punched ground. It features a myriad of hunters and animals, the trees seem full of game. On the hilly horizon can be seen various dwellings and pavilions, tiny birds in the sky. The base is an arrangement of three elephant heads supporting an acanthus cup on which sits the offering bowl...

Antique Japanese small ko tansu (personal chest) made of kiri (paulownia) wood. The top portion has a compartment opened by a pair of sliding doors. Below this is a series of drawers of various sizes: three small on the right and two medium sized drawers on the left. The very bottom of the chest has one full-width drawer. Hardware includes warabite shaped drawer pulls.

A bulbous vase finely painted in Famille rose enamels, the decoration depicting the eight horses of Mu Wang, the Queen Mother of the West. Four-character Qianlong mark in over-glaze blue to the base. Height "9/ 23 cm. Condition: severe damage and repair to the neck (cf. pics).

A nice pair of brass figures of deities, Krishna dancing on the Cobra and female deity dancing, India or Nepal, c 19th.-20th. cent.

DESCRIPTION: A finely carved celadon nephrite jade plaque, one side depicting a child attendant with crane holding a large fan over the head of an immortal. Three lines of raised calligraphy are on the reverse. Excellent condition, late 19th or early 20th century, Qing Dynasty. DIMENSIONS: 2" long (5 cm) x 1 3/4" wide (7 cm).
