A 4.5" octagonal Kakiemon porcelain bowl decorated with a branch of pomegranates. Ex-Christies.

Condition: Good, no chips, hairlines or repairs. The glaze is a bit rough on the upper rim, the enamel worn on one flower on the outer side of the bowl.

This is a very fine old Chinese shallow bowl made in the popular Butterfly pattern. It is in very good condition with minor wear and a tiny flea bite to the glaze on the rim. It measures 9 1/2 inches across and 1 1/2 inches deep.

A Japanese bronze flower vase, mid 19th century, of quatrefoil cross section, with dragon head and tongue handles. Good condition. With (as yet unidentified) four character maker's mark. Height 26cms.

This is an early Japanese Imari vase from the last quarter of the 1800's. The leaves and flowers are painted in thick colorful enamels. There are also some gold highlights. The vase is very heavy and stoutly made. It is 10 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. Condition is very good with some expected wear. Still a very fine old display piece.

This is a very fine, flattened, rounded rectangular form Snuff Bottle with a round, elongated neck, rounded sloping shoulders, and raised flat elongated oval footing. Made of Hard JET. The bottle is very light. This must have been the reason that the carver has left 1/4 of the bottom non hollowed to give the bottle a little weight and stability. The walls are very thin. It has a very smooth and lustrous surface...

Heavily glazed Japanese katakuchi bowl in the shape of a “Sazae” turban shell. Written on the lid is “made by Matsuyama” and “kashiki” (dish for serving sweetmeats). On the reverse side, there is a signature, "Kei Ho-o En" with a seal. We are not quite sure if this is an original box. Meiji, late 1800s. Great bowl for the kaiseki cuisine? A spectacular Meiji Period Satsuma vase by Kinzan I. In 2001, the Kinzan kiln was designated a National treasure by the Japanese government. The Kinzan kiln pioneered and developed unique gilding techniques, such as underglaze gold leaf. This rare vase is a wonderful example of Kinzan's mastery. Two matching small Imari dishes with high quality applied decoration, including the "three gentlemen" at the center of each dish (pine, bamboo, and plum blossom). The dishes have a scalloped edge, and have a stylized Ching Dynasty, Yung Cheng, reign mark on the recessed base. Each dish measures about 5 1/2" in diameter x 1" high, and dates to the mid 19th Century. The condition is excellent/perfect. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.
