Chinese pottery brown glazed granary, with cylindrical shape, decorated with bands of incised lines, and supported by three legs in the shape of bears. Lead glaze with copper is the main colorant used in Han period to produce brown glaze. Brownnware became popular during the Eastern Han period.

A Five dynasties yue yao bowl, with deep center and glazed foot ring, bowl covered with grayish - green celadon glaze. Bowl is in good condition with glaze degradation, no chip, no crack, no restoration. Size: 15,5 cm diameter. 7,5cm high.

First seen as molded clay stamps, bronze seals then appeared in an embryonic form in the Shang and Zhou dynasties (1600 BC – 256 BC). A stylized grass motif painted in ferrous pigment across each side and on the inside of this mukozuke serving dish marks it as being more likely produced in Karatsu as opposed to having come out of a Mino kiln.
