Antique Japanese bronze tray with shell feet, Taisho period 1912-1926. It is incised with a repeating stylized wave pattern and adorned with shells and other marine creatures. Used to create beautiful small garden scenes. It is supported by shell shaped feet. It is irregularly shaped. It measures 1.25" deep 14.5" wide, 6.75" long 2.25" tall with feet.
Antique Japanese copper hanging lamp, Meiji period, 1868-1912. This is a beautiful lantern with panels decorated with peonies in a field of arabesques. Three smaller hanging blossoms hang off the top of the lantern. The lantern has two doors that open and are fastened shut with a decorated arm. The lower register is decorated with panels incised with a repeating wave design. The feet of the lantern are petal or leaf shaped, decorated with an incised arabesque design...

An iron mokogata form iron tsuba with surface and patina indicating significant age. Some folds apparent in the iron, tekkotsu ("iron bones" describing irregularities in surface resulting from gradual wearing away of softer iron, leaving more refined, harder iron), rim slightly raised around the hammered plate. The raised decoration of the hare and vine in quintessentially Japanese taste - thick gold overlaid details. This would work nicely on a Yamashiro or other slender, old blade...

An extremely rare Yuan Altar vase attached to a pierced stand, decorated with splashed iron brown spots and a Qingbai ( Yingqing ) glaze over a porcelain body. Yuan Dynasty 1279 - 1368. H: 13 cm. Antique Japanese lacquer Tebako, cosmetic box. Made of lacquered wood and decorated all over with scenes of flying geese in gold lacquer with raised details on a black lacquer ground, Silver lacquer bull rushes with golden leaves bend in the wind. The interior is lined with very old silk brocade. Meiji Period (1868-1912) . Size : 9 1/4" high x 11 1/2" long x 9" wide.
Chinese porcelain figure of Zhongli Quan, one of the Eight Immortals in Chinese culture or Taoism. His attribute is a fan which is said to bring the dead back to life and turn stone into gold or silver. He wears an open robe with gilt accenting, and comes with a fitted hand carved hardwood stand.

He is temperamental but compassionate towards the sick and needy, who he heals using special medicine from the gourd he carries around his waist. Kyogen is a major form of classical Japanese musical drama that has been performed since the 14th century. One of the oldest major theatre art still regularly performed today.

Chinese porcelain figure of Lan Caihe, one of the Eight Immortals in Chinese culture or Taoism. Lan is usually depicted carrying a bamboo flower basket as seen here. Lan's gender is always shown in an androgynous manner. The figure's earholes, nostrils, and mouth are pierced through. The bright enamel robes are accented in gilt pigment.
