Incredible Japanese highly bronze figure of three playful puppies. One falling onto his back, another laying in the middle and the last one climbing over him. They are all very finely detailed. The artist's signature on the bottom of the middle puppy. Very well done with exquisite detail.

Rare Japanese Funa Tansu (captain's ship chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) wood in original medium brown finish. The upper portion has a large front drawer with kakute (squared) iron handles and decorative iron plating, lined in attractive silver rice paper. The bottom portion is very unusual because the right door opens on a hinge while the left door slides on a track revealing four small drawers also lined in silver rice paper...
A pair of Dong Son bronze bangles with very nice green patina, decorated with bells and circular design which is the typical design of Dong Son bronze.

This is a finely carved Mid 19th Century Japanese Netsuke depicting two seated Karakos who are back to back to each other; one playing the Flute, and the other wearing a Shishimai mask. Wonderful rich patina. Unsigned.

An Early Japanese Bronze Mirror, Kagami, Circa 1600. (No.1)
This bronze mirror (kagami) was almost certainly made in the Momoyama period. It has a turtle (minogame) as a central boss, pierced for a cord. It also features a pair of cranes, their beaks touching the head of the turtle as in the act of kissing. This beneath a splendid pine tree. Under the turtle is found the inscription 'Tenjō' (?) possibly meaning Heaven.
