Very rare Taisho Period, C.1910 bronze carp garden water spout. The detail on the bronze fish scales and the waves about the tail are exceptional. A Chinese mirror mounted with an 19 century jade ruyi head plaque on the back and a belt hook as a handle.The former is finely carved with precious objects; the canopy, fish, vase of flowers, lotus and endless knot, the handle shows a dragon with lingzhi facing the chilong. This very well carved ivory glove stretcher is a mid 19th century product. There are garden scenes carved on both sides. It is 10 ¾” long. It has beautiful patina. Aside from a few crack lines due to its age, it is in excellent condition.

A rare 18th/19th Century carved agate snuff bottle with, possibly later, silver and rose quartz stopper. On the stopper is inscribed the Shanghai silversmiths "Wen Yuan" who are recorded as having traded from the Jiaqing (1796-1820) reign through until the Republic period (1912- 1949). Condition - excellent - there is a shallow chip on top, next to the mouth (please view enlargement 11) no further damages and no restoration. 5cm (2inches) high; 4.8cm (1.9 inches) wide.
