Pair of Gilded Bronze Cloisonne Happy Buddha Lamp, 19th Century

The lamp is 13.75 inches (35 cm) tall, and 5 inches (12.5 cm) wide. The Buddha is 7 inches (17.7 cm) tall by 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide. They weigh 5.5 lb.

They have missing enamels, enamel bruising, loss of gilding, surface wears and scratches, and small holes at Buddha's ears (as seen in the photos).

A very fine late 19th Century Chinese enamel sweetmeat tray with steel holder decorated with Jade and other precious stones. L: 18” x W: 8”. Overall excellent condition (except one of the jade handles is slightly cracked). SOLD TO N.Y.

The quality of this small elephant is excellent. Standing foursquare with head turned to one side. The body and the separately cast reliquary - monstrance inlaid, brightly enameled, multi coloured and richly ornamented. Nineteenth century or a little bit earlier. L : 14,8 cm. H : 19,4 cm Condition : Excellent with no damage. The reliquary - monstrance incomplete ( please see the last enlargement ).

Antique pair of silver and enamel finger nail guards, worn by wealthy ladies to protect their long finger nails and show that they did not need to work with their hands, made all of pierced repouse silver and decorated with motifs of birds, flowers and fruit, 19th century. Size: 3 1/4" long

Antique Chinese cloisonne flower container, footed rectangular body beautifully colored, scrolling vines and flower on a turquoise ground. Bronze. A large four character mark on the bottom in cloisonne. Period: 19th Century. Size: 12.375" length x 7.5" width x 5.5" height

A Yixing teapot. Diameter approximately 9 cm (body), width approximately 16 cm (tip spout to handle) and height approximately 8.5 cm.The Teapot has tiny chips at the rim (photo number.7) and 3(three) tiny chips inside the cover (photo number 8,9 and 10). Good condition. There are many characters mark on the base.

Asa (hemp) cloth with tsutsugaki shrimp which is an auspicious motif. It symbolizes longevity showing that one can live long till having the waist bended. It is made of asa (hemp) and the wefts and warps are hand-plied. It is colored with pigments. 19th century. In good condition but has some wear, stains and indigo color faded parts. 90cm x 65cm

This is beautiful silk(habutae) katsugi-Kimono with the family coat of arms of the Meiji era(1868-1912). This katsugi-kimono is a formal dress. It will be to decorate your room with very Japanese-style peaceful scenery. It is made with good-quality silk of the habutae silk. It has thin stain and damage. It is size: However, it does not stand out 146cm x 124cm (57.5" x 48.8")

Museum quality piece. The front decorated with two dragons and the flaming pearl, the back decorated with bats, the standing rim decorated with colorful flower bands, both on the inside and outside. China, 19th century. Dimensions: 22 x 15,5 cm. Condition: excellent. A similar tray can be found in the catalogue of the opium exhibition at Kunsthal Rotterdam (collection F. Bertholet and C. Hoogendoorn) page 177 and 178.(see pictures)

This Qing dynasty Tong Zhi period (1862~1874) gold and blue square bowl is 3” high and 6 ½” wide. It has a turquoise interior and gold floral design over blue background exterior. It has a red Tong Zhi mark on the bottom. Aside from some worn gold trim, it is in great condition.

Beautiful Chinese cloisonné tripod censor decorated in beautiful colors with motifs of lotus, scrolling vines, chrysanthemums, and archaic chinese elements. With a gilt bronze fu dog on the top cover and three elephants as the censor legs. Slightly worn gold gilt over bronze is constant with age. Age: 18th/19th century. Size: Height 7.75" Diameter 5.25"

This is an Amygdaloidal Basalt , well hollowed, of circular form, with a round neck, a flat, wide lip, and a recessed oval foot surrounded by a footrim. The background is dark gray, almost black, and the attractive mineral inclusions of various shapes are light brown, blue, gray and some shades of red. Some of them have multicolor burst like forms. It comes with a like material stopper that shows various shades of blue...

Kappa (cape) which was called "hikimawashi" or "maru-gappa" in old days. It is made of cotton with warp kasuri checker board pattern on one side and cotton stripes on the other side. It was worn on the occasion of travel over kimono. It has wool collar, probably imported. The word "kappa" came from Portuguese "capa". The Portuguese first came to Japan in 17th century. This is a fine, flattened, rounded rectangular form tapering toward the base, with a wide mouth of slightly opaque glass, above a short waited neck, all raised atop a conforming foot ring. The main body decorated with overlay of transparent red glass over clear glass carved with a decoration of a bat hovering above a rock and waves. The reversed showing another bat above a pine tree and rocks. The sides flanked by masks and faux-ring handles...

Large bowl on three feet with relief depictions from the Ramakien epic. Punched on the bottom Silver 100% / weight 30 baht, Thailland, c. later 19th. century AD.

Chinese porcelain figure of a seated Daoist monk. The monk's skin is left unglazed, his draping robes and seat with Sancai "three colors" of yellow, green, and dark purple underglazes. One of the figure's ears is pierced through for gas to escape during kiln firing.
