Philippine Pre-colonial pottery vessel with two ears.
Small architectural element, probably part of a tympanum ("torana") of a temple or palace door, of circular shape, carved in relief to represent the Hindu mythical bird Garuda head, flanked with wings, holding the Naga snake in its claws. Wood, with dark-brown encrusted patina. Remnants of red pigment (tika?) on various areas. Mortises at top and bottom sides. Nepal, 17th century, probably earlier. Length: 13 1/4" (34 cm). A rare and lovely Scaraboid stamp seal in a pink stone, Assyrian, ca. 12th.-10th. century AD.
The shape emulates the Egyptian scarabs from the period, but made in a rare pink hardstone and with a typical later Assyrian stylized design of the seal plate.

A Persian nargileh water pipe cup "qalian" in conical form, made of brass or copper, maybe with gilding. Engraved and embossed decoration of flowers and calligraphy. Antique Japanese pair of bronze three section lanterns. Tall finials in flame shapes adorn temple style lids and small bronze bells hanging from the edges. Would have originally been used with well light candles, the pair is perfectly matched. The caged midsection has reticulated spiral design walls, which stands on large bell shaped feet. Covered with ge type green celadon to the footrim, unglazed base. The bowl decorated with incised 8 idol in the petal. Diameter = 17 cm, height = 10 cm. Yuan Dynasty. Perfect, no chips, cracks or hairlines and free from restorations.
Antique Indian painting of a holy man seated upon a throne, identified by the halo around his head, a line of followers standing before him. The first man in line bestows a ceremonial gift, painted with gilt pigment. Two men stand out of line with a domesticated jaquar. Arabic writing decorates the top and the bottom of the painting.
