The udenuki-ana (cord holes) have the effect of completing the illusion of a Sesshu-like landscape. The saotome were armorers turned tsuba makers who worked in this manner and scale. A pair of very small translucent pale blue-green glass earrings most likely for a child.. The glass is in the form of a medium-thick oval hoop that tapers at the ends.
