An interesting Japanese puppet head of an old woman used in Bunraku, the traditional puppet theater developed in the Edo period by Uemura Bunrakuken, which the name of the puppet theater was derived from. The puppet consists of several moving parts. The head and neck are two separate pieces that move up and down. A nice and polished Danish neolithic daggertime axe dating to 2200-1800 BC.
The axe has a 'hanging', slightly assymmetrical edge. The blade of the axe is broade, immitating the early metal axes made of copper and bronze in this period.

This figure has old losses to both forearms. The features are worn and it is blackened overall from incense and candle smoke, but it has a pleasant, soft patina. A metal nimbus was originally attached to the back with a small strip of metal that still remains. Acquired in Kyoto in the early 1970s.

Satsuma Miniature Teapot Signed Kozan, Meiji Period (1868-1912)
The teapot is 1.75 inches (4.5 cm) tall by 4.5 inches (11 cm) wide.
It is in good condition with no repairs, or cracks, except rubbing of gold and a chip at the underside of the lid (as seen in the photos).

The dishes are small, absolutely lovely and quite unique with their simple decoration of a flying crane and the other dish with a butterfly decoration. This pair of dishes fascinates by its simplicity. Ming Dynasty, Wanli period ( 1573 - 1620 ) Porcelain dishes with a Cobalt blue decoration, most probably Jingdezhen ware. Diameter : 8,7 cm. Condition : Perfect with a nice glaze and a nice "ping-tone" when tapped. No cracks, no chips - this what looks like small rim chips is covered with glaze.

This antique Japanese small drawstring fisherman's bag is woven from hand rolled cording using indigenous natural plant fibers. It would be used for carrying home the catch at the end of day.
