Antique Japanese six-panel byobu folding screen painting of a pair of pheasants (male and female). Near the pair of colorful birds, a stream flows over rocks. Exuberantly blossoming cherry trees and peonies rise from the rocky earth. Another pair of smaller birds fly together through a golden mist. Painted in mineral colors and with gold leaf on paper.

Korean antique shell inlaid black lacquer ichung nong stacking chest in 3 sections on a footed base. Exquisitely decorated all over with ornate scenes of birds, animals and flowers. Antique Japanese wooden temple carving of a dragon in swirling clouds. Beautifully carved of heavy keyaki (zelkova elm) wood with intricate details. The large dragon clasps the sacred wish-granting pearl in one claw. Around him are billowing rivulets of clouds. Some of the details of his face are painted with red mineral pigment and his eyes are made of reverse painted glass...

Antique Japanese small ko tansu, personal chest. Made all of kiri (paulownia) wood with iron hardware. This chest has three large drawers and two small drawers on the bottom. Every drawer is outfitted with a round lock plate, warabite shaped drawer pulls and lovely fan-shaped corner brackets.

Age: Meiji Period (1868-1912)

Dimensions: 23 1/2" high x 22 1/2" wide x 12" deep.

. The bronze is very thick yellow, the casting is made in several parts, the arms are cast separately and welded, the ribbons too. The finish is very neat. The old patina is beautiful. The base is cast separately, the walls are thin unlike the statue, but it is indisputable that the two were made together. On the base and at the bottom of the statue are incised characters that date it. I do not know what the exact time is, but I can do research on request. The glory is added later...

A lovely Chinese Snuff bottle in Quartz Crystal with golden flexs, from old collection, Qing Dynasty, and can be precisely dated to 1820-1850 AD.

The bottle exceptionally well carved and decorated with floral scrolls in a very rare piece of super hard Quartz with golden hair / flex. The stopper original and carved in the same stone.

Japanese carved netsuke of a reclining puppy scratching his ear; natural material with inlaid horn eyes

An unusual model of Phurba in lost wax cast bronze and gilded with mercury. Iron blade. The handle is made up of a whole bust of the deity and not just a head as we can usually find it. Known models with busts are extremely rare, there are 2 or 3 in the museums of Delhi. Examination shows us that it is not a montage from a cut statuette but that the bust was cast especially for this Phurba. The lower part of the skull necklace was broken and lost; it was replaced...

Buddha in gilded lacquered wood. In the middle of the forehead is inlaid in mother-of-pearl the eye of the spirit. Le buddha is placed on a lotus-shaped plinth and leans against a glory sculpted with volutes. The base and the glory are from the Edo period.The Buddha is probably older, it is constructed differently,having a thick solid layer of reddish-brown lacquer visible where the worn gold powder has gone and is much more worn.The face and torso are atypical of those of the Edo period...

Uncommon Etruscan belt buckle with hooks ending in a female head flanked by a couple of lion heads.
The lions bent forward with ears laid back and teeth bared. Both with lenticular eyes and engraved mane.
The woman looks in the opposite direction and shows a pointed face with almond-shaped eyes. The strands of her hair are curled up in front of her chest, much in accordance with archaic style.
Hooks and loops appear on narrow rectangular frames with emphasized corners...

19th Century Chinese Blue and White Porcelain underglaze Blue Urn with Cover, 17 1/2", 10" wide-widest part, 5 1/2" diameter-top rim, sharp brilliant nice underglaze Blue decoration of double Happiness character among scrolling vine and Peony floral decoration, marked on the bottom but this urn or jar was made during early 1800's to mid 1800's, representing good quality of Blue and White Porcelain Product. Very fine, signed, men’s blanket from the Biboki, Feotle'u area West Timor, Indonesia. The the name of the weaver’s family, were woven into this. W: 114cm/44.8in and L: 186cm/73in, except for the yellow and blue lines this is woven from all naturally dyed handspun thread. Dating circa 1950 to 1960.
