A set of rare and complete Burmese manuscript (KAMMAVACA) made from thick cloth coated with gold and lacquer in nice condition. It was written in the Pali language using Burmese script. Manchu women never practiced foot-binding. However, during the Qing dynasty, they did wear pedestal aka platform shoes, hoping to give the appearance of smaller feet. These shoes would give the woman a more careful walk which was perceived as dainty and more sensual. Japanese tsuba, a sword fitting to protect a swordsman's hand from sliding up the blade during use as well as to provide balance. The tsuba depicts a scene of hunters, one on horseback and the other on foot wielding a staff, in pursuit of a leaping rabbit, in gilt and silver. The backside of the tsuba depicts a running fox in gilt and copper.

Antique Chinese rectangular embroidered panel. Made all of silk with butterflies and flowers on an orange embroidered ground. Many flowers and butterflies are sewn us using the forbidden stitch technique. Edged in black silk embroidered with more flowers and butterflies in shades of blue.

A Chinese jade vase, carved as a lotus leaf with a flower in one corner and a ribbon tying the leaf and its coiled trailing stalk forming the base. The composition is very attractive, the body is quite thinly carved and the stone is of celadon hue. A high quality example of Qing lapidary arts, it measures 14 cm ( 5 1/2 inches) high. It comes with its own custom made wooden base. Age; 19 C. condition: excellent.

Pair of 19th century Chinese porcelain bowls with custom stands. In excellent antique condition, the dishes each measure 8.25" long, 6" wide, and 2.75" high. Displayed on the stand, it measures 6 inches high. There is one tiny chip to the rim which, if you look carefully, you can see it in the last photo. One of the stands is missing a small piece of wood, but it does not affect the stability of the stand. Rare to find such an attractive set of bowls...

A pair of antique Japanese folding keyaki doors with iron mounts. The door is constructed with mortise and tenon joints. The panels are divided into 7 parts framed with carved decoration and hinged with iron mounts. The carved decoration is finely painted with polychrome mineral pigment with gold gilt accents. The subject matter of the temple doors is a scrolling lotus motif and 8 phoenixes.
