This very well made bone carving of the legendary Chinese figure Xiang Yu 項 羽 (232 BC~202BC) is a late 19th century product. Very fine red lacquered saber (dao) scabbard fitting from the Nùng people Vietnam. They are well known for their sword making so it makes sense they would put the same effort into their accoutrements. This is an old semi antique piece circa 1950 excellent condition and intricate carving. L: 14cm/5.5in W: 5.9cm/2.3in and Thickness 2.4cm/1in.

A terrific set of three finely made silver vessels, Pre-Columbian Inca Empire, 13th.-15th. century AD.

The set consists of a larger and very attractive hammered silver bowl (11 cm. in diameter and 70 grams), along with two smaller items, a votive rattling beaker (5,8 cm. tall and 19,34 grams) and a small thick dish (5 cm. in diameter and 17,13 grams).

Condition: Superb! Completely intact and the large bowl with iridecent patina.

Originally it might have been used as 'yutan' (cover for drawers or a chest) with crests, however this one is used for futon cover as it has cotton dusts in the back. Small beehive-form pot is covered in a rich, lustrous copper-red glaze that drains to a pale celadon tone on one side. The interior is glazed white with the glaze crackles being highlighted by ink staining from long term use. The copper has drained from the mouth leaving the often seen attractive white ring. The glaze stops at the beginning of the foot which though left unglazed has burnt a pale orange tone in the firing...

Chinese Song dynasty longquan celadon washer bowl. 12,7 cm diameter. Crackled glaze. Good condition except small chipped at the foot rim. (please see on the pictures).

A framed pair of Southeast Asian palm leaf manuscripts, each side covered in gold leaf, with ornate filigree in red, and scenes of dancing people and beasts. With lines of text written in black lacquer pigment. These manuscripts have two holes each to be strung and bound together as a book. Professionally displayed suspended in glass and framed.
