A smaller Danish Neolithic Hardstone Axe with an unfinished hole near the butt. Likely Funnelbeakerculture, mid-late 4th mill. BC.

Axes like these probably had a religious status, and are rather scarce.

16 various 19th century mother of pearl game counters also called loo chips. Different shapes, some pierced, all are hand carved on both sides, some with some with bird, some with flower designs, some with figures in various settings. Very well carved, overall in good condition. Length of the longest 2 7/16 inches.

This is the sung dynasty twin fish celadon brush washer saucer, it has the typical crackle of Quan type glaze feel/colour but i erred that it is Quan yao washer. It is nice rare piece but small repaired rim on the reverse with gold leafs.....

1900's Chinese Herb Medicine Chenxiang Aloeswood Powder Plaque Clip Pin 紫金锭藥牌

It is 1.69 inches (4.3 cm) long by 2.1 inches (5.4 cm) wide and 5.6 mm thick. It is 17.2 gram.

It has small chips at the plaque, tarnished metal, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

He has a long beard and curly hair with a necklace with horn pendants in the shape of a chrysanthemum on his back next to the engraved signature Washūjin Kōsen 和州人 光仙, under two large himotoshi. Introduced to Japan through the Portuguese in 1543. Intended for use by mounted samurai, these pistols where called horsemen cannon's (Bajo zutsu).
They proved however to be totally impractical weapons to fire, since the rider had to ignite a piece of chord to the lock, while aiming the chamber and at the same time controlling his moving horse. None the less, owning a pistol remained a symbol of a samurai family's power, rank, and wealth...

The idea of a Fukusa gift cover comes from the old Japanese tradition of gift presentation. Fukusa began to be decorative as well as practical in the Edo period (1600 to 1868). A small Korean lidded burial jar from the Silla Dynasty, United Period, 8/9th Century. The jar has an overall stamped design, and shows kiln glossing over its otherwise unglazed exterior. The jar with lid measures about 4 1/2" high x 4 1/2" in diameter. The jar and lid are in very good condition, but there are a few very small chips on the lids' rims. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

An antique bronze rain drum with natural patina from the F Knoll Collection. Country of origination is Laos. Top features a bas relief in the concentric circles with families of stacking frogs on each of four positions. Elephant figurals shown marching up to each handle. The center displays a 12 pointed sun.

This is a Japanese antique indigo dye and Bengala dye hemp-Umakake Tsutsugaki-type dyeing. A very impressive and charming pattern of wheel crests, treasure balls and checkers. Antique Japanese scroll painting of a young woman with a younger girl , dressed in beautiful flowing kimono and standing below a cherry blossom branch. There are three chops altogether, one is of a very unusual shape of a vase. Beautiful calligraphy along the upper region with artist's signature below in corner. Tomobako is included.

Good, first half of the 20th century hardwood hand carved bowl carved in the shape of a turtle. I acquired this from Mossgreen's Auctions, Australia about 20 years ago, they attributed it to being 100 years old. Please note the two legs in the back are damaged and is noted in last enlargement.
