A rare late 19th Century heavy celadon glazed porcelain teapot decorated in Qianjiang style with painting and poetry. The calligraphy to the right of the handle reads - " By the spring water enjoy the coolness of noon" and is signed - Mei Shan Shi. On the next side "Wealth,Honour,Luck" is inscribed in red - in black is written "copy Han Zhong style script" with a red seal which reads Fang Gu ("Copy Antiques")...

Up for sale is a very rare antique Chinese Qing dynasty embroidered silk tapestry with 5-color clouds designated for imperial family use only, together with colored bats carrying auspicious Buddhist symbols; the cloud pattern suggested that it is dated back to the first half of 1700's., during the reign of the Chi'en Lung or Qian Long emperor, very intricate embroideries from high quality workmanship! It may have been used as a curtain or wall hanging back then...

Fabulous antique Chinese table apron textile with 4 gold dragons, (originally had nine), above water on a blue silk background with auspicious Buddhist symbols and a two inch floral border of peonies, irises, and butterflies in blues and white, the border possible was added at a later date. Excellent condition dating from the 19th century. Measures 62" wide by 36" long.

A shipwreck Late Tang to Early Sung Green glaze celadon plate, incised toaism or lingzi pattern, unglazed ring among the green glaze. It is in good condition no damage, no crack, small manufacturing chip/defect, no restoration except glaze corossion cause by sea water.

A very richly decorated Famille Noire jar. ( Famille Noire is actually Famille Verte with a black background.) There is not only a pair of peacocks, there are also cranes, ducks and flying birds and a lot of Lotus flowers and plants. Apocryphal underglaze blue Ming mark. Probably 19th. century or older. On the base of the jar is an old inventory Number which probably indicates that the piece comes from an old German collection. H : 26,8 cm. Condition : Perfect

Flying birds, birds in branches and at rest are depicted with great naturalism: morning doves with peonies, cranes flying through golden clouds, and egrets walking through water lilies. Beautiful antique Japanese fune tansu (merchant's ship safe), made of keyaki wood with heavy iron hardware, top has drawer with elaborate lock, bottom has removable panel with three locks, interior has two small locking drawers and another drop in door which reveals a separate locking money box, interior components are made of kiri, iron bracing on top and sides, bottom has wooden bracing, Edo Period ( 2 keys). Size: 19 1/4" high x 21 1/2" wide x 18" deep

Up for sale is an antique Chinese Qing dynasty round rank badge, 5-claw dragon couched with gold wrapped threads, and other fine embroideries including flaming pearl, clouds, sea waves and buddhist auspicious objects, framed and glazed. The badge is taken from the surcoat of a mmperial family member who was allowed to wear a round badge during the Qing dynasty. The badge is overall in very good condition, but never inspected outside the frame...
