This is a Qing dynasty copper coin which read as Tongzhi (1862 - 1874) Zhong Bao and the reverse which read represent ten, which means ten cash coin. The diameter of the Tongzhi Zhong Bao is 3.3cm and it is in good condition.

Chinese 18th Century Export Qianlong period porcelain Peacock design Spoon Rest or spoon tray, later part of 1790, circa 5/8" high, 4 7/8" wide 3 1/4" deep, overglaze Peacock design in the center, iron red line border on the scalloped hexagonal shape rim. The bottom is unglazed. Few kiln imperfections on the rim but no damages or restorations.

18th Century Qianlong period 1736-1795 Chinese Famille Rose porcelain Spoon Rest or spoon tray, 5/8" high, 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" wide, with overglaze enamel design of flowering branches in the center with four(4) separate cartouches in the center, white on white decoration techniques were used between the four(4) cartouches in small areas. The bottom is unglazed. There is a tiny frit smaller than 1/16" wide on the rim, no other damages or restoration.

Subtle nephrite “pebble” jade stone with original russet skin highlights, from Xinjiang. It has been polished on one side to achieve symmetry but other then that this is the original natural shape. This is an interesting silver alloy ring from the mountains of Pakistan or Turkmenistan. It has what appears to be a carnelian intaglio of some sort of 4-legged creature. Rings of these types are allegedly reserved for tribal chieftains or other persons of importance. This ring is fairly large measuring 3.9 cm across its longest axis. 19th century miniature Hirado porcelain sculpture of a reclining karako (Chinese boy) leaning on his right hand. Excellent crisp modeling with incised details - see his superb dreamy face, well defined hands and clothing details. Beautiful glaze with numerous tiny bubbles giving it depth, unglazed bottom. The line seen on the left side of his face is not a repair, but an original firing crack that got filled with glaze during firing, very pleasant to the touch...

Unusual 19th century Persian brass betel box with hinged cover and chiseled designs: the top with equestrian lion hunt, the bottom with a scene of a person with long scimitar slaying a man with several figures and a dog watching, the sides with friezes of various animals: lions, dogs and birds. A rare Arita flower vase following a bronze form decorated in somenishikide style. The long flared neck decorated with a plume of stylised leaves with a pair of ring handles enamelled in green and iron red with gilding. The wasted bulbous body of the vase decorated with the figure of a Chinese scholar fishing and the reverse with stylised waves and flowering plants. The vase measures 22.5cm high and is approximately cm in diameter at its widest point 9.5cm. It weighs 620grams...

An Akan gilt metal gold weight cast as a bird on round tapering base. The Akan gold weights are quite unique in the world for their forms. Their weights are so distinguished by their shape that they are now considered decorative art forms only few inches in size. Historically, they were used for measuring gold dust, which was circulating as currency in Ghana and Ivory Coast among the Akans from the 15th until the end of the 19th century. Measures 2.75 inches high and dates late 1800s.

A pair of silver bowls with great potential for repairing, Sasanian, c. 3td.-6th. century AD.

Lot includes a hammered bowl with fine decoration in repousé and a larger crack and loss, plus another hammered bowl without decor with a small crack and loss. Both bowls are hammered in rather thin silver and uncleaned with some green encrustation.

A nice lot that can be much more valuable when finely restored!

Ancient Near East, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BC. A large elaborate bronze cloak pin, cast via the lost wax (cire perdue) process with poppy flower shaped terminal.

Used to fasten clothes, in this case due to the unusually heavy fabric and decoration, likely leather for presentation use - perhaps for a very thick cape or leather armor...

19th century Japanese carved wood obidome (sash ornament) in a shape of a theatrical mask of demon Hannya. Could have been used as netsuke as well. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, and is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions. Good design, nice detailing, eyes highlighted with gold lacquer. Height 1.8 inches.
