A Song dynasty longquan celadon large alms bowl, decorate with caerved lotus petal motif at exterior, good condition with large part of the rim has been broken and restored, still a beautiful piece for display and collection, size: 16 cm diameter, 11 cm height.

Mexican Pre Columbian Tlatilco Terracotta Male Torso. This culture rarely depicted male figures making this quite unique. The culture flourished at the same time as the Olmecs in what is now Mexico city. Wonderful little figure c1200bc - 800 bc . Size 2.25" by 1.25" wide.

Antique Japanese triptych woodblock print, meaning it is comprised of three separate sheets, depicting Akechi Mitsuhide in the final battle of Yamazaki in 1582. He is shown seated upon his horse, which has been shot dead with arrows, clutching his sword and gazing over the river at the approaching enemy forces in the distance. Four of his own soldiers are seen scattered around, either dead or dying, soaked in blood, suffering traumatic injury...

Belt hook made of bronze, with fine geometric design in relief at the base and on the stem. Button at the back for attachment to a belt. Green and red encrusted patina. China, Warring States period (-475/-221). Height: 5.6 cm. Very good condition.

Beautiful, yet unusual two-section tansu from the Nigata region of Japan, made from kiri wood. Reddish brown lacquer has been applied to its hardware to give it a very nice contrast to the woodgrain. It has four large drawers with gunbai style iron handles mounted upon pierced and stylized mounts, with a large fan-shaped lockplate in its center, pierced hardware along the front frame between each drawer, and quarter-circle hardware in the drawer corners...

This scene takes place in the antahpur (inner courtyard) of such an area. A wealthy prince is entertained by three beauties. Around them is a lush garden with a fountain and a marble pavilion. Unique double upper drawer merchant chest style in a smaller footprint. A combination of 6 drawers of varying sizes and a pair of sliding doors that hide a convenient storage area. Pilgrim's sodenashi made of hand-spun cotton with writhings which are the name of the pilgrim, the year (Meiji 5, 1871) etc. The places of pilgrimage is Saigoku Sanju-Sansho (33 holy places in the west) which are for worship of Kannon and the oldest places of pilgrimage. Those are located in Kyoto, Osaka, Gifu, Hyogo, Nara, Shiga and Wakayama. The cloth in the back is also hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. In excellent condition. 45cm x 57cm

An unusual Arita porcelain tea pot styled after a cast-iron example. The textured surface is described as “nail head” when it appears on an iron tetsubin. Late 18th ~ early 19th century.

The Shibata Museum compendium has a pot of similar shape and cartouche, no nail head texture or iron dressing  but with additional cobalt decoration, item#3782.  1780~1820.

This example is approximately 17.5 cm high. The handle has a very obvious stress crack but no other problem...

Chinese porcelain planter in a squared form tapering slightly towards the base, incised with imagery of birds perching, grapes and coiling vines, blooming flowers against a yellow enamel ground. The upper and lower part of the planter with bands of archaic scrolls in cobalt blue. The rim has red floral scrolling motifs. The base is marked "China" in red. With dense carved wooden stand of an inverted lotus form.

A Korean Finely Inlaid and Molded Celadon Octagonal Bowl-13th C.: Korea, Koryo period, 13th Century, It is molded on the interior with a central flower head medallion, each facet on the exterior inlaid with double flower heads on a leafy stem within a rectangle, all within lined in borders, bearing spur marks on the base. It is covered overall with a grayish green celadon glaze. It is in fine condition without any famages except a firing crack near the foot rim...

A Very Fine Koryo Sea-Green Celadon Shallow Dish;12th C.: Korea, Koryo dynasty, 12th Century. This well balanced shallow dish applied with a beautiful sea-green crackled and transparent celadon glaze overall, set on a raised ring foot, its foot rim unglazed and its base sea-green celadon glazed. It’s in very good condition with a few short hairline cracks on the rim. Measurements: 14.8cm x 3.6cm.

Large Chinese Qing Dynasty Carved & Painted Pottery Floral Tile

This decorative pottery tile was made during the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1912). It is made from a dense grey pottery. The surface has been carved with an attractive floral design featuring leaves and a flower blossom within a circular border. It has been cold-painted with various coloured pigments. It would once have been part of a series of similar tiles adorning a wall.
