Originally used for the storage of Japanese Kimono, it functions well in today's home as a pair of nightstands, a daily dresser drawer or a beautiful accent piece in any room decor...

A nice piece of Ming dynasty blue and white bowl of a pair of Foo lion dog chasing after the rattan ball with ribbons. In the center of the bowl, it has a symbol of a swastika in the form of clouds. It stand on a short foot rim with a recess base and then everted upwards. This is a nice piece not to be missed as such good quality bowl are hard to come by

It has only minor chips at the rim as shown in picture 5 (one chip) and 6 (two chips) which are not very noticeable...

Antique Japanese large silk embroidered tapestry, view of temple with Mt Fuji rising out of mist in the background, large trees on either side of water with a bridge across leading to the temple, sail boats, huts on far bank, Autumn foliage on trees, some toning, silk border frayed, late Meiji Period. Total size (with border): 78" high x 55" wide Size (of embroidery only): 69" high x 46" wide.

Museum quality ancient Han dynasty, 206 BC – 220 AD, lead green deep dish from Luoyang, Henan Province. Excellent patina with the original silvering left intact on the rim of the dish. The 3rd photo shows a spur mark left by one of the clay firing stilts used to prop the dish to prevent it from sticking to the kiln floor. We have not seen another advertised for sale anywhere, other than the common cold painted types...

18th century netsuke of a seated skinny dog wearing a collar with bell and resting one front paw on a cloth ball. Strong early piece, beautifully carved - great face with horn inlaid eyes, wonderful rendition of its spine and ribs, superbly carved paws, netsuke of characteristic 18th century triangular section, beautiful wear and patina (some irregularities on the surface on the darker colored part of its back), old age lines...

A very rare 18TH Century, QING DYNASTY IMPERIAL POWDER BLUE-ULTRAMARINE QING DYNASTY PORCELAIN BOWL with gold rim and a white interior. Antique Chinese silk robe fragment richly embroidered with butterflies and flowers. Two large butterflies with beautifully elongated and swirling wings fly amidst a profusion of densely embroidered flowers. In the center, a flower bunch is embroidered using the forbidden stitch technique in shades of pink. Edged with golden Buddhist symbols. Framed.

18th century good size wooden netsuke of a monstrously tall South Seas islander wearing a leaf skirt and holding a fish in one hand, with a man in Chinese robe hardly reaching a knee level of the giant and raising his hand in amazement. Unusual subject, very strong early carving with obvious and expected wear, wonderful face with wide open mouth, superb patina with beautiful warm sheen, deep himotoshi in accordance with the habit of the time. Perfectly balanced - stands on its own...
