Two baskets are being offered here and both are from the Northeast, most probably from the Penobscot of Maine. They are lidded, made of splint ash, and use natural dyes of green and orange.
Basket 1, although it has a square base, is 14 3/4" in diameter and 11 1/2" in height. They are about 3 smallish splint breaks as shown in the photos, but the basket is structurally sturdy.
Basket 2 has a medial sweetgrass braid and a dyed interior. The 4 3/4" in diameter and 2 1/2" in height.

An antique Japanese 2 panel Byobu screen of a mounted Kimono from a Noh play. Embroidered picture of flying Phoenix birds with Paulownia and scrolling vines they use to build a nest. The Kimono is that of a young female character of high aristocratic nobility wearing it as a surcoat in summer. The double Paulownia would represent a marriage as its theme. It is shown hanging on a Tazuna rope. The background is a silver leaf with a vermillion lacquer frame...

A Veracruz stone yoke circa 250-950 AD in characteristic U-form, the thick implement with polished surface except for the outside. A flat top, the sides tapering slightly downwards. The end of each arm is relief- carved with an ornate pattern of complementary bands and scrolling plumage-like motifs. Remains of a red pigment in a speckled grey-light green stone. Large textile from Laos with a “void” silhouette deer pattern . The colored threads are silk, while the field and border are all handspun cotton, the border may be some sort of bast fiber as it is quite coarse. This piece is approximately 30 to 40 year old- I picked up it up in 2000, Vientiane, Laos.
The border and backing has some staining but the embroidered panel is clean...

The eyes as well as the chin strap to hold the Osiride beard to the face are painted onto the gesso using a carbon-based black pigment. Song Dynasty green crackled Celadon bowl with a nice shape. There are certain imperfections which mostly appear to be occurrences at time of firing. On the inside of bowl, there is a pock mark / rupture that appears to have occurred at some point when perhaps a stone in the clay was compromised and broken out through the glaze. Dimensions: height 2.75 inches, diameter 5.50 inches.
Early 19th century nice size netsuke of a sennin (Chinese sage) wearing a leaf cape, leaning on his staff with tied large double gourd resting on his shoulder. Most probably netsuke represents Chokwaro sennin who could summon the magic horse out of his gourd to be transported wherever he wanted. Hand modeled biconical vase with carefully burnished cream ground.
Decorated in red with loop groups around the body and horizontal bands on the wide cylindrical neck.
