Overstreet states the Agee points are "the finest, most exquisite arrow point made in the United States". They are both 1 7/8". They are both made from translucent novaculite. They were found near the area of the Crenshaw Site. The name of the finder goes to the purchaser. I purchased both on 8-2-92 from Ray Stanford. Agee points of this quality are never seen on the open market. They are extremely rare and hoarded.

The lid of the lekanis features palmette design with a lady of fashion and a banded design around the base. Both handles remain intact and the piece measures 9cm high x 18cm in diameter. Offered here is an outstanding Greek Apulian Kylix. The kylix has a splendid body form with beautiful intact handles that curl slighly upward at the tips. The feature of this piece is the nice band of grapevines that surrounds the piece on both the inside and the outside. In addition, this kylix features Medusas' stamp, which adds even more value and beauty to this piece. There is little wear to this piece and it remains fully intact and without restoration...

In Tang dynasty many sansai figures were received in tomb rooms and likewise many painted unglazed pottery figure what had been making from ancient times were received too. This figure is very excellent and with good condition. Considering that this figure is greeting with Chinese style, this person is supposed as a Sogdian delegate. This is one of the most fascinating and unique artifacts I have ever seen. The axe is 5 1/2" from top to bottom and the handle is 7". The handle has been broken off in antiquity at the end which is a plus for me because you can see the internal cross section of the wood. The haft is completely fossilized (84% calcium carbonate). The calcification of the wood is such that a species analysis could not be successfully performed on it, but it was determined that it was probably conifer...

Such fused-rod beads represent one of the high points of Islamic glass-making, and this is one of the best examples on the market. This rare pottery dish, or shallow bowl, was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). Most known Han Dynasty pottery objects tend to be jars or figures with dishes and bowls being quite rare. This is quite a large dish with a diameter of 25 cm. It is made from a dark grey pottery that is relatively highly-fired...

Carriage bell of globular shape with a loop on top for attachment. Gilt bronze, with encrusted green and blue (malachite) patina. China, Han Dynasty Period (206 BC-220 AD). Height: 3 1/8" (8 cm). The bell is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accident, otherwise good condition.

This rare Archaic E-Notch point, made from translucent gray glossy flintridge, is in perfect condition. It has heavy grinding on the base and in the bottom portion of the notches. This is a classic example of the type and is beautifully beveled. It was found near Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio. Comes with a Gregory Perino certificate of authenticity and shows very nice mineralization and patination.

From our Early Chinese Collection, a large Machang Phase jar from the Majiayao Culture (2300 - 2000 BC), originating from what is now Gansu province, China. Of well-known and documented form, this fascinating vessel is approximately 4,000 years old and comes with an Oxford TL test. Larger and better potted than is usually found, it is painted with anthropomorphic designs in purplish-black mineral pigments typical of these wares...
