Early Ming dynasty Yongle period ( 1403 - 24 ) blue and white jar. H : 2,5 inc. Perfect condition !

This is an exquisite example of an authentic antique double-wicked oil lamp from the Khorasan Seljuk/Seljuq Turks Period during the 12th century AD (6th century AH "Hijri"). This lamp is made of cast bronze and features a rounded body that sits on a spreading trumpet foot. It has two spreading spouts that project from the front and a hinged domed lid. The lamp handle is loop-shaped, and an integral bird perches above it. The bird is delicately crafted and adds a touch of elegance to the lamp...

Interesting stoneage artifact, probably a massive weight of sorts or alternatively, a mace-like weapon.

It's shape is oval, almost like a melon, and it's made in a light grey granite stone. It has 4 symethric ridges for some kind of binding, but we're not certain of it's usage - you're welcome to e-mail if you have seen this artifact before / have got a litterary refference for it...

An antique Japanese Choba Tansu (merchant chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware and Urushi lacquer finish. Removable hinged door opens to two large compartments where merchant books and store records were kept. Below are two drawers for additional storage. Side handles allow for easy placement of the chest in a room.

A Chinese carved cinnabar lacquer vase (converted into a lamp) decorated with four shaped panels of scholars on a mountainous landscape, the background with scrolling floral borders and motifs. The quality of the carving is one of the best from its period (probably late 19th century) and is in excellent condition – some chips and minor hair lines. It was converted into a lamp sometime later. It works perfectly as a lamp, although there is one area taped (with black tape) on the cord...

Chinese Blue and White Octagonal Jar with unusual flared foot. Decorated with panels of birds among flowering plants. Kangxi C17/18thC. Height 9 1/2" (24.2cm). Condition; shallow chip 1.1cm to edge of foot. No cover.

A finely potted Hirado dish featuring three figures wearing capes and carrying heavy packages upon their backs descending down a high mountain trail. Inferred by the small gnarled Pine trees on the wayside. Although no particular scene is identifiable the figures are in Hokusai “style”. The reverse is painted with a Karakusa arabesque and has a single spur mark within the base of the footring. The dish dates to the late Edo period and the middle of the 19th century...

Lovely terracotta lamp of the Loeschcke VIII and with a fine depiction of Eros holding the arms of Mars, below on the base is an inscription as a mark of the workshop.

Size: 10,4cm.

Condition: Good Very Fine, completely intact with a little earthern deposits in the devices.

This lacquer serving tray from Burma (now called Myanmar) depicts has a central medallion with a mythical Burmese creature, a chinthei, surrounded with 12 individual vignettes depicting children and other creatures. The tray is 19 x 11 inches with a rim 3/4 inches high. The top surface is somewhat dulled from age and exposure.

Antique 16th century Turkish Ottoman leather water flask (Matara) period time of the Sultan Suleiman Magnificent. The bladder-shaped flask with two protuberances, one for carrying, one with narrow spout for drinking, the third with a cylindrical neck for filling, made of thick leather, stitched together with a central seam with three lines of stitching. The Matara leather water flasks were very popular in Turkish Ottoman Army during the 16th century...

Cornet-shaped, in bronze with a brown patina, it rests on 3 feet scalloped in foaming waves rising towards a base decorated with other waves. The body is also decorated in its center with an openwork knot of vine branches and bunches of grapes. The neck is widely flared into a floral corolla. Signed Toto Hidemitsu Kansei under the base. A simple utilitarian tool often used by Japanese carpenters and woodworkers known as a sumitsubo or an ink pot used to measure and portion pieces of wood.
