Rare Tai Yai Burmese wooden seated crowned Buddha, or sometimes known as 'King Buddha', wearing a diadem-crown and ornaments of a king instead of ordinary monk's robes.

Tai Yai is a group of tribal people living in Burma. It is difficult to find Buddha from this ethnic group.

Japanese two-section Keyaki Nihonmatsu tansu with a black lacquered frame, a corner lockbox with iron plating and hinged door, four long drawers with iron hardware, warabite handles and iron locks at their center with a the image of a tsuru (crane) flying over a kame (turtle). The tsuru and kame are sacred creatures in Asian culture, each a symbol for longevity, and are said to live one thousand and ten thousand years respectively...

A etremely rare Kanton enamelled gilt-copper European-subject snuff bottle. Qianlong mark and period ( 1736 - 1795 ). Provenance : From an old Austian Family collection, in the past sold at the famous Austrian Auction house Dorotheum and according to Dorotheum`s expert Mrs. Dr. Jorinde Ebert this rare piece at least was for the past 150 years in this family collection. Circa 1875-1880. Depicting two warriors on horseback in combat. The warrior on the left wears a long feather headress and carries a pistol. The warrior on the right carries a bow case across his shoulder and holds an arrow in his left hand. "Kaw Indian" written in ink below. Antique Tibetan kangling, a trumpet made for use in Buddhist chöd rituals and funerals. The kangling was played by the practitioner as an act of fearlessness and compassion, drawing out the hungry spirits so that they may have their suffering relieved. Kangling, which literally translates as "leg flute", were traditionally made of either a human tibia or femur and preferably that of a criminal or someone who died a violent death. The leg bone of a respected teacher was also acceptable...

This woven Tibetan container would have been used to hold a pair of wooden tea bowls...there is an interior separator (removable) which allows for the separation of tea bowls. Hand made using plant materials (hemp) and rattan with leather closures Bowls would have been packed into container such as this when traveling... and from the condition of this one...it has traveled many times. The container is 6 inches diameter at the top and 4 inches high...well aged fair condition...

The outside is beautifully decorated all over with raised gold and colored lacquer scenes of birds and morning glories, grape vines, and pomegranates on a black lacquer ground.
