Japanese isho tansu, or clothing chest of drawers, constructed with Persimmon wood front drawers and a Sugi (cedar) frame and interior. The tansu holds four long drawers with metal pulls and round keyholes with floral plating. The sides of the piece are built with handles to carry and transport the tansu. Original condition with kanji inscription on backside of chest.

Description:

A celadon ewer or water dropper was intriguingly mold as chicken pot.
By cute-looking spout and simple-form wings, the porcelain pot was applied with glass-sheen glaze all over the surface.
On the unglazed bottom, the dense-feel clay was revealed and was with adhesives of burial earth.
Crackles and abrasions were resulted from incursions too.

A rare and interesting bronze spear butt for a large lance for hand-to-hand combat, probably Median-Achaemenid, c. 7th.-5th. cent. BC.

The use of this fine spearbutt was known all over the Greco-Persian world in the mid 1st. millenium BC. A spear-butt covers the end of a spear that touches the ground and it would have been used as a weapon also in close combat.

19th Century Japanese Kutani Porcelain Covered Jar with Mountain Scene

It is 14.4 inches (36.5 cm) tall by 10 inches (25.4 cm) wide. It is 12.4 Lb.

This is a wonderful little censer from one of the great Meiji era satsuma artists. This beautiful piece glows with quality and is like looking at a fine jewel.
