A pristine Iron doorhammer in the finest Late Medieval / Gothic style, European 14th.-15th. century.
The hammer head in the shape of a deers head and the horn and shaft finely twisted, the nails for inserting it into a thick wooden door are still finely preserved as well.

Old Chinese soapstone carving of a Confucius or a Confucian Scholar on a fitted lotus form wooden stand. Measures 4" high including base. Base measures 3.5" long, 2" wide.
A deeply carved wooden lintel, dating to circa the mid-19th century, possibly earlier. The carving is detailed and in excellent condition. Chief among the figures is "Kamadhenu," a winged female deity with the body of a cow and the head of a human. The piece measures 30" in length (80cm) and is 9" in height (22cm).

A mirror made of copper with wood stand which is one of "Sanshu-no-Jingi", the Three Imperial Regalia. In ancient time, all natural objects and phenomena were worshipped in Shinto, but three items such as mirror, jewel and sword are objects to be worshipped later. A mirror is often put in the shrine pavilion these days. This mirror is rather small, so it might have been put in a house shrine. A superb quality bronze buddha from Thailand, 15th-16th. century AD.
The Buddha stands erect with his right hand raised in abhaya mudra and his left gracefully extended alongside his body. He is standing on a tall and very elaborate bronze lotus throne, perhaps slightly later from the 18th. century. It fits it perfectly.

Japanese tall woven bamboo ikebana basket by the artist, Torii Hounsai. Elegant and unusual, this basket incorporates an orderly pattern at it's narrow base which becomes more wild toward the top, ending with a subtle asymmetry while maintaining it's sense of balance. Signed on the bottom 峯雲斎 Hо̄unsai. The artist's full name is Torii Hounsai (鳥居峯雲斎). Hounsai was active in Aichi Prefecture during the late Taisho/early Showa era 1920-1930...

Funeral statuette made of calcite. The statuette is composed of three separate parts: a head, a torso adorned with two chimeras in relief and a base decorated with geometric design also in relief.
