A Very Rare/Fine Iron Black Painted Punchong Wine Bottle-16th C.: Korea, Joseon period, 15th -16th century. Of evenly proportioned ovoid form with short tapered neck ending in an everted and rolled lip, white slip brushed limited to two bands lower on the body and the white slip stoping unevenly, painted in underglaze iron with two scrolling leaf sprays (ginseng leaves) within carved concentric lines on each side...

This Chinese ivory court tablet is an extremely rare piece. It is a late Ming Dynasty (1368~1642) product. It is almost 19 ½ inches long, ¼ inch thick, 3 inches wide on one end and 2 inches wide on the other end. There are quite a few hairline cracks, several small chips and one repaired split.

Diameter: 37 cm. China, 16th/17th century. Condition: age wear and rim fritting, no cracks or repairs.

The deity is represented seated surrounded by his multiple arms holding various attributes. Excellent quality of sculpture, on its skull multiple small heads (10+1) pegged, pretty draping, beautiful facial expression, the eyes and the third frontal eye in glass or rock crystal. Thick, solid lacquer, beautiful gilding. Avalokitesvara wears all her jewelry. Complete set with its glory and its original base...

An perfectly potted porcelain bowl, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with an very nice clouds-decor. The tone of the Cobalt blue is very attractive and the glaze of this bowl is simply perfect. Ming Dynasty, Wanli period ( 1522 - 1620 ). Diameter: 11,9 cm. H: 6,8 cm. Condition : Perfect with a nice "ping-tone" when tapped.

A late Ming Wanli blue and white large bottle vase, rounded side with pear shape and glazed base, vase decorated with under glaze blue of galoping horse and flower motif divided with horizontal band, ruyi cloud motif on the neck.
Vase is in good condition with restoration on the upper part, rare to find similar vase in very large size.

A Rare Chinese ‘SHEN DE TANG BO GU ZHI’ Bowl, 16th ~ 17th Century

A fine and large porcelain bowl with a brown glaze draining from the mouth and leaving the rim with an attractive white line showing off the foliate edge. Within the foot-rim can be found the six-character mark shen de tang bo gu zhi, which may be translated, 'Antique made for the Hall for the Cultivation of Virtue'. The clear glaze has a distinct pale blue-green tinge...

This Ge glazed dish is at least from the early Qing Dynasty but most probably the piece is older. Please compare the shape and the unglazed base of the piece with similar Ge glazed pieces from the early Ming and the Yuan Dynasty. Ming Chenghua period ( 1465 - 1487 ) blue and white high fired Minyao ( peoplesware )porcelain bowl. The model for the decoratin of this bowl were the decoration of one of the most prominent Imperial so called " Palace Bowls ". ( Please have a look at the last image ) Diameter : 12,2. H : 6,3 cm. An Arita porcelain whistle in the form of a reclining Chinese boy. Decorated in Kakiemon-type overglaze blue, green and iron-red enamels. Circa 1680 ~ 1700.

A similar whistle is illustrated in Christiaan J. A. Jorg’s ‘Fine & Curious, Japanese Export Porcelain in Dutch Collections.’
