Fine Pair of Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Figures with Oxford TL Test
These fine pair of pottery figures, one male, one female, was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). They are made from quite a high-fired creamy-coloured pottery. They are very finely modelled: note the detail of the clothing, hairstyle and facial features. The figures stand side by side, upright, in respectful poses each with their hands held together across their stomachs...
Diameter approximately 15 cm. There are soft chips at the rim. There are several glaze fall. In good condition.

A Tang dynasty Changsha large ewer, rounded side with small neck, round handle and two lugs on the side, ewer decorated with brown glaze molded palm leaves on front and sides, ewer covered with milky white glazed.
Ewer is in good condition with damage part at the rim and neck restored, good glaze condition.
