Cast copper alloy flat / proto-palstave axehead from the early Bronze Age with a crescent-shaped blade. The body of the object thickens towards the middle and there are ridges along the sides, running perpendicularly to the blade...

An ancient Canaanite bronze dagger blade from the Holy Land area dates back to the Bronze Age, circa 1500-1200 B.C. This blade dates back to the time of Moses. The blade is double-edged, tapering, and has a medial ridge. It was cast, hand-forged, and has a short tang for attaching a handle.

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 20.5cm (8.7 inches)

CONDITION: It is in excellent condition for an antique combat dagger that is over 3000 years old. No cracks or repairs...

Greek black-glazed skyphos with high swelling body and plain rim. Fairly wide base with low, bulged foot. Two round-sectioned handles applied horizontally to the exterior of the rim.
Underside with two circles and dot, reserved surface with a dull red wash.

A lovely ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1070 or older, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 9/16” long (14 mm) and made of faience. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and to help it resurrect. Pictured on the bottom are images of vulture goddess Mut, and an Ankh. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

This is a nice, leaf shaped, bronze spear point from ancient Luristan (circa 1500 BC). It measures 203mm and weighs 80 grams. It is slightly thicker in the middle than on the edges. It is in "as found" condition with no apparent damage or repair.

Tall Chinese Eastern Han Dynasty Sichuan Pottery Farmer (AD 25 - 220)

This tall pottery figure was made during the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25 - 220) and has been excavated from Sichuan province. It is made from a reddish pottery and is highly detailed. Such figures are usually referred to as farmers, although during this period Sichuan farmers were also called upon by their masters to become soldiers when required...

Intriguing Daunian kyathos featuring an incurving shallow bowl and a handle that widens towards the top to form stylized horns, a tiny animal head inserted in between.
The cream-hued surface shows a delicate linear decoration, both on the handle and on the outside of the bowl.

Three rare Pyu stone beads with holes for stringing. Size: see last photo

This is a fantastic, ancient bronze spear or dagger attribute to the Marlik Culture circa 1200-900 BCE. It has a beautiful leaf-shaped blade with strong midrib. The tang has the classic 90 degree bend with knob on the end still intact. It measures nearly 25 cm in length and weighs 192 grams. It has a fantastic and lively patina. The metal is strong and stable. There are no signs of repair or restoration. This piece is from the collection of the late John Piscopo.

Red glazed lebes gamikos of rounded body and upright handles on either side.
Raised rim to accommodate a lid. Lower half of the body and ring base reserved.
Lebes gamikoi were vessels associated with marriage rituals held for both the living and the unmarried deceased.

The three points are carved in silex and other stone. They can probably be dated to the 2nd.-1st. millenium BC...

Quirky strands of bronze beads and Kushan charm in the shape of a Hindu Trishula (trident). I acquired these with a group of Kanishka coins that were found in the same place, circa 100CE. Large strand 25cm/9.8in and small strand 9.5cm/3.8in (the holes were too small to fit on the same cord as the larger one). Weight total: 40 grams. A very rare Solid gold rare ear pick very finely made with an ornate chain made during the Pyu Dynasty that is now Burma. This is a very unusual gold item from that era.
